this was our 4th visit to this hotel and usually everything is fine, however on this occasion it was not and i offer this feedback not as a criticism of the hotel but as hopefully a tip for fellow travellers||we booked connecting rooms, the hotel does not have any connecting rooms, apparently they have notified the main company of this several times, but the system still shows that you can book connecting rooms||we were then told although the rooms were not connecting, the balconies were, that is, you can open the door between them to make one big balcony to be shared by the two rooms although disappointed we did not have connecting rooms, we thought at least we have connecting balconies||but, the truth is, not all rooms have this, and ours didn’t - even though we were told that they did||after 6 hours of driving from spain, we really didn’t need this, so we decided to cut our loses and continue the 2 hours home - otherwise we felt we would have not had the stay that we had planned||so, our tip, if you book connecting rooms you wont get them and if you want connecting balconies check that the two...
Read moreWhat a great hotel, we had a junior suite for our 6 night stay and could not fault it, great view of the bridge and river, balcony to sit on, very spacious room with lounge area, plenty of storage space, very comfortable bed and due to extreme heat very welcome efficient air con. The breakfasts were eaten on the terrace overlooking the river with a great choice of food. We also ate here on 3 nights, it does not have a ‘dinner menu’ if you want ‘proper dinners’ there are many restaurants close by , one just few yards away, but if you just want a light meal it is perfect, we had the meat and cheese platter and the home made quiche is delicious. Food was really lovely with good choice of wines. Staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Added bonus was underground parking, need to book this. All areas of Cahor were easily walkable as were many restaurants if you...
Read moreOur last-minute decision to stay here due to the weather turned out to be one of the best choices of our trip. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking—the perfect vantage point to admire Pont Valentré, especially on a rainy day. The hotel's design is elegant and minimalist, with an artistic touch and high-quality finishes. The room was exceptionally quiet, aside from the soothing sound of the river flowing right next to the hotel. The bed and linens were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. It's also just a 10-minute walk to the old town and main sightseeing spots. I usually avoid chain hotels, especially American ones while in France, but this was a rare exception. Parking is convenient, with a designated free area outside and a paid garage option. Highly,...
