Résidence Goélia Perla d'Isula — Hotel in Corte

Just back from a two week break and wanted to share the experience and some advice. The huge issue right now is the new resort being built right in front of the isula residences. What used to be a nice pine wood and path leading to the beach is now a huge construction site - green barriers have been out up to hide the building site but all views are spoilt in the main residence with the swimming pool and some ground floor flats have only a view of a green barricade!||||We were lucky to have not been too badly impacted as we were in the Perla Marina block not the Perla d'Isula block.||||For Perla.Marina basically four blocks a and b overlooking the beach bay and bar (for Wednesday arrivals) and c and d overlooking the sea (for Saturday arrivals). c and d would be quieter but maybe not as nice view.||||This is about the tenth time I have booked holidays with Goelia and really like the chain as they are usually good down to earth residences with ok cooking facilities. There are often promotions to book early and you only pay a small amount up front and the rest closer to the time. ||||For peak periods I would usually take a one bedroom flat but you need to be aware that its not usually the best solution if you are noise sensitive as the fridge freezers make a lot of noise.||Also if you are on the ground floor then you will likely be disturbed by neighbours from above with moving tables/chairs/sofa - I've never really understood why they don’t add sound dampeners on the table and chair legs for a few extra euros - would make a big difference. ||||Buildings A and B (especially A) also suffer somewhat from a small road just in front of them leading to the bar and water sports centre. Not a lot of traffic but some noise and disturbances as cars and motorcycles pass by. ||||So earplugs a must if you want a good sleep and are on the ground floor!||||The noise disadvantage of buildings a and b (esp ground floor flats).is countered by the fact that the beach, bar, and water sports centre is less than 30 seconds away. Its great to eat out on the terrace and admire the nice view (beach becomes near deserted in the evenings). ||||One slightly worrying point was that there did not appear to be a fire alarm in the apartment (despite being compulsory in France) and we were told of one apartment having a fire accident. We took extra care to unplug chargers and electrics at night...||||The bar/restaurant on the beach was excellent - genuinely friendly people and good food and drinks - reasonably priced. They also have some great live music concerts every few days which personally I enjoyed a lot more than the usual shows put on by animations crews of other resorts. Corsican singing is really impressive to hear and see. Be sure to try the mussels from the local lake of Diana. ||||The water sports hire place was great to try some new sports such as paddle board, being draged by a speedboad on an air sofa or the jet ski tour (note: you can have two adults and a child on one ski and pay the same price of 120.euros - photos included). ||||The beach was not the classic turquoise clear waters of the west coast but it was really nice - warm waters with an area close to the end of the bay good for some basic snorkeling. It was not too crowded considering we were in peak season. We did not use the pool once! ||||In terms of the location we found it to be a little removed from other attractions - you definitely need a car. Good days out were trips to Bonifacio, Bastia (old town), Corte, Aleria,and a small trek in the mountains. No chance to see the West coast of Corsica - plan another holiday for that.||||Low light of the trip was Porto Vecchio Centre - was more like a shopping district for wealthy tourists as opposed to the "real" Corsica we saw in the other places we mentioned.||||Another disappointment has been the goalia staff we met - often really good and helpful we found them lacking in terms of empathy (really needed for some during the works) and lacking the smiles and customer skills we have seen in other resorts.||||We also saw a nasty dispute with some Italian guests and the resort manager who basically told them to 'find somewhere else if they were not happy" before storming off. There was also a strange situation with a welcome meeting (on Sunday) being moved to Monday due to a little bit of rain and then cancelled on the Monday as there were not enough guests! We were told we could read everything on the posters in any case. Kind of showed a general lack of consideration...||||Not that this spoilt the holiday in any great way as we were very autonomous. ||||Just really happy not to have been in the Isula resort and not.sure how it will work out once the other resort if fully built (240.new apartment blocks!) - will hugely change the whole area and beach.||||So overall it was a great break - it's the first time to have such a great and quick access to the beach. Nous avons eu un accueil exemplaire. Natacha et son équipe sont toujours disponibles, agréables et arrangeants. Merci à l'équipe. L'équipe connait bien la région et ses merveilles. Le village vacances La perla Insula est bien agencé et bénéficie d'une vue incroyable sur le large. La plage est à 30m au pied du village. Le resto bar de la plage est très pratique. Il propose ds soirées à thème très sympas. Pour autant, les logements sont au calme dans l’après midi pour se reposer ou le soir pour des soirées reposantes aussi. Les logements sont bien conçus. La résidence est gardée la nuit, donc les voitures et les objets qu'on y laisse (lunettes de soleil, gps, valises la veille du départ...) Sincèrement séjour exceptionnel !! Ein Albtraum für Familien – Résidence Goélia Perla d'Isula entlarvt

Es ist schwer zu fassen, wie enttäuscht und schockiert wir von unserem Aufenthalt in der Résidence Goélia Perla d'Isula sind. Wenn wir an ein Familienparadies denken, stellen wir uns Spaß, Lachen und unvergessliche Momente vor. Stattdessen wurden unsere Erwartungen komplett zerschlagen, und wir fanden uns in einem Albtraum ohne gleichen wieder.

Zunächst einmal fehlten jegliche Spiel- oder Freizeitmöglichkeiten für Kinder, obwohl uns bei der Buchung versichert wurde, dass dies ein Ort sei, an dem Familien glückliche Stunden verbringen könnten. Es gab nicht einmal eine Schaukel oder einen kleinen Spielplatz – nichts, was einem Kind ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubern könnte. Es ist unverantwortlich und herzlos, Familien in ein Resort zu locken und dann keinerlei Einrichtungen für ihre Kinder anzubieten. Dieser Mangel an Grundausstattung für Kinder ist inakzeptabel und zeugt von einer erschreckenden Gleichgültigkeit gegenüber den Bedürfnissen von Familien. Neben dem Fehlen von Kinderfreundlichkeit war der Zustand der Zimmer und der äusseren Anlagen einfach nur entsetzlich. Die Zimmer ähnelten eher einem schäbigen Ghetto als einem Urlaubsort. Überall war Schmutz, und es schien, als hätte seit Monaten niemand mehr richtig saubergemacht. Hinzu kamen Hundekot vor unserem Zimmer und eine Müllkippe gleich neben dem Resort. Diese eklatanten Hygienemängel sind nicht nur widerlich, sondern auch gesundheitsgefährdend.

Was die Krönung des Ganzen bildete, war die Reaktion des Personals und der Besitzerin auf unsere Beschwerden. Statt sich um die Probleme zu kümmern und eine Lösung anzubieten, wurden wir ignoriert und sogar noch mit zusätzlichen Kosten konfrontiert.

Es ist wichtig, dass potenzielle Gäste wissen, welches wahre Gesicht die Betreiber der Résidence Goélia Perla d'Isula zeigen. Dieser Ort ist alles andere als ein Familienparadies – er ist ein Ort des Chaos, des Schmutzes und der Enttäuschung. Ich rate dringend davon ab, diesen Ort zu besuchen und hoffe, dass diese Bewertung dazu beiträgt, andere Familien vor einem ähnlichen Alptraum zu bewahren. Fotos die Füsse meines Kindes nach 5 Minuten Aufenthalt in dem Zimmer. Pool Voll mit Rost Gras nie bewässert Bretter mit Rostnagel Sicherheit wo? Pool dreckig.

Andere Rezessionen sind entweder nicht echt oder die Menschen kommen aus schlechteren Bedingungen. Alles andere kann ich zumindest...
