Booked an apartment for a single night in high season on very short notice on a whim. The place looks a bit dated and run-down, but that's what you get with older buildings.
Check-in time was listed as 1700-1800 hrs, which seems a bit late, but that didn't matter, because we spent the day on the beach anyway. The people at the reception are not overly committed to their job, but in no way rude or impolite either. Switching to English when French became a bit difficult was no problem.
The apartment itself is very hot, with very little option to ventilate/cool down, unless you want to leave your windows open to the gallery while you're sleeping (we didn't). The beds weren't made, we had to do that ourselves, a plastic chair on the balcony was broken, and the dishes were straight dirty. We washed every single one before use. Furniture is a bit flimsy, and the beds are okay.
Check-out was communicated at between 0900-1000 hrs. Again, a bit tight, generally checkout is at 1100. When we had everything ready to go at 09:45, the man at the reception was already gone, so we deposited the keys in the letterbox. It would be unheard of in Switzerland, but I suppose the French tick a bit in their own way.
All in all, it was not really a great experience for 220 Euros a night, but it was only for a night. If you stay longer and/or are particularly attracted to cleanliness, I'd suggest forking out a bit extra and have a more pleasant experience. 2,5 stars out of 5, which tipped to 2 due to the receptionist just taking off beforehand.
There was a garage to put the car in, free of charge The spaces around the apartment were cleaned well The location is fine. Walking distance for about...
Read moreThe most disgusting thing is the attitude of the management and the hotel administrator and the payment fraud! We originally booked for a month but had to check out a week early. We warned the administrator about this in advance and asked for a refund. She promised to contact management. For 2 weeks, we have not received a single response from the hotel, nor a refund, although we have written to them repeatedly. The hotel ignores all appeals and simply embezzled our money of 670 euros for the last week. Even though we didn't live there and they didn't have any other bookings! Moreover, they sent us an invoice for the entire period of placement! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!||APARTMENTS ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY AND AS A RESULT - YOU WILL BE DECEIVED!||||Disgusting apartments.||1. Old furniture, disgusting beds that are disgusting to sleep on.||2. The second bedroom is very small, one person can hardly fit.||3. Dirty linen, torn curtains. Broken plumbing. Throughout the stay there were problems with the toilet.||4. Half of the switches didn't work. Bad, dim lighting. Lamps didn't work||5. There is no washing machine, I had to take the laundry to the laundry||6. Poor sound insulation, you can hear the conversations of neighbors||7. There is no cleaning, accessories for it.||8. No bedding and towels. Or for an additional fee or your own.||9....
Read moreWe booked 6 persons apartment ( for a family of 4) and the size of it was great . We had 2 separate bedrooms and living room with well equipped kitchenette. The kitchenette ( unlike many similar residence in South of France we have been to) included washing machine and small oven which made our stay even more pleasant. Nice sandy beaches are located in walk able distance and there are splendid rocky areas for snorkelers just 500m from the residence . The swimming pool is not too big but adequate . We went in quiet time right after covid 19 lockdown and we had most of the pool available for ourselves. We managed to set the TV in the way that we could watch few channels in English ( kids channels are all in French though ) . Underground free parking is a bonus too. The few downsides I can think of were : lack of wifi in the rooms, memory foam mattresses in beds which were not too comfy . The was no air con in our apartment but it did not bother us much . All in all we had a great stay and we would...
