I'll start with the positives:||- I received a pre-stay phone call from the center to check in and see if I had any questions before my stay. Very nice gesture.||- The settings are absolutely stunning with the centre located on a hill with the red Esterel mountains as backdrop and a fabulous view of the sea in front of the complex.||- The pools are really nice with the heated pool being quite warm and the wave pool with its waterslide being a big hit with my daughter. Kudos also to the life guards for really being alert and taking their role seriously||- The Mulan show that the entertainment crew had put together with staff from the different departments participating was impressive and much enjoyed both by myself and my daughter. ||||Unfortunately the list of negatives is longer:||- The apartments are very run down and in urgent need for refurbishing. I stayed in a sea view apartment for 5 people. The price we payed (250 EUR per night) was close to what we would have payed for a luxury hotel. Yet this accommodation had nothing luxury to it what so ever: ||- Our shower-room/toilet smelled strongly of moisture and the neon lighting was flickering. In addition the towels and sheets we received and which, I belive, once upon a time where supposed to be white, now had a grayish nuance and smelled the opposite of clean which made taking a shower and going to bed quite an unpleasant experience||- In general the apartment was not very clean (hair in the shower etc) but while the apartment was ok-ish the common areas where very dirty with trash, balls of hair etc lying around in the hallways and gardens around the complex which further exacerbated the run-down and shoddy feel||- We were woken up at 7h30 AM on the Saturday morning by a delivery truck delivering food to the restaurants in the complex while leaving the engine running for 25 min straight.. Now I can understand that deliveries need to happen but scheduling those at 7h30 AM, allowing the delivery truck to have the engin running and locating those deliveries just in front of where the apartment bedroom windows are located does not make for happy guests..||- Our apartment was on the ground floor and when I arrived it was impossible to lock the terrace door. Thankfully the complex sent repair service relatively quickly and, after about 30 min of repairs, they were able to fix the lock- but, since the doors were so old and run down, I had struggles with it throughout my stay.||- On top of charging a price that way exceeds the quality of the accommodation I was also negatively surprised by learning that you also have to pay extra for pretty much all services that you'd usually take for granted as included when paying such a high price for accommodation (parking was 9-11 EUR per day and you also had to pay for sun-loungers by the pool - oh and of course the kids club cost extra..)||||All in all my impression of this place was (sadly) one were the guests are primarily seen as cash cows and where the objective is just to get them to spend as much as one possibly can - and not even in a subtle way.||||Its a real pity as the location has great potential. Personally I will not come back unless this place is refurbished and/or prices are adjusted to match the quality of the...

As a returning customer to Village Cap Esterel Pierre & Vacances, having had a positive family vacation here in 2018, I booked another week with half board for myself, my wife, and my daughter. Unfortunately, this recent stay turned out to be a profound disappointment and bordered on a scam, a clear sign of a village in an obvious decline state with services that no longer match what was promised.
Accommodation: An Unwelcome Surprise and Unacceptable Conditions I booked a studio for 4 people, trusting the website's information which proved to be unclear regarding bed arrangements. It was only a few days before departure that I was informed the room would have two bunk beds and a sofa bed. Upon arrival, the shock was immense: the room was in an evident state of neglect, with mold on the ceiling, a clogged sink, and a nauseating sewer smell from the toilet. These are unacceptable conditions for a tourist resort.
Services and Activities: An Unexpected Collapse Compared to 2018, the resort appears to have been almost abandoned to its own devices. The golf courses are a disaster, no longer green and well-maintained but stretches of yellow, burnt, unkempt grass. The archery activity, advertised on the website, is no longer available. The possibility of dining in various restaurants, confirmed to me by phone before departure (especially "Ile d'Or"), turned out to be false: the only half-board option is the hotel's main restaurant.
Dining: Poor Quality and Absolute Monotony This was one of the most significant issues. The disappearance of dining choices and the elimination of the "dish of the day" made half board a nightmare. The children's menu is extremely limited, forcing my daughter to eat the same few items for an entire week. Beyond the lack of variety, the quality has also plummeted: the "chicken burger" is a clear example of the use of low-quality frozen products. The service is disorganized, with improvised staff and, even more problematic, an almost complete absence of waiters who can speak English.
Management: Ineffective and Unresponsive Every attempt to complain or find a solution with the management was futile. To a simple request to be able to dine at another restaurant, the management showed complete unresponsiveness, literally slamming doors in our faces and only offering a voucher for another Pierre & Vacances property, without resolving the ongoing vacation issue.
What I still liked: Position is very good as well as the landscapes which are incredible, also the village is well built, it's such a pity that it's bad managed. Night and day animation is also good
In summary, this vacation was completely ruined. Despite fond memories from the past, the current state of Village Cap Esterel is unacceptable and deeply disappointing. Given the current situation, it goes without saying that we will...

IN ENGLISH||||I am 70 years old, I was assigned a "studio" located on the second floor of a building. If it weren't for the beauty of the landscape (sea and mountains), the structure and its maintenance are not in line with the prices that are asked of customers. Not to mention the play areas for the little ones where there are swings and various games. In these areas the floor is uneven with cracks in the floor where children continually trip over. During my stay, in the large pool area where there are concrete steps, I had noticed some rusty bars protruding from the wall where people put their towels to lay down. Well, I pointed out a photo to the pool staff, I was told that they would immediately take steps to eliminate that potential danger, but after one more week from my report, the irons were still there, and I am convinced that they are still there now ready to stick into the skin of someone who will not see them sticking out of the wall. Here, my vacation went like this. I don't think I will suggest to my friends and acquaintances to go to this residence, unless these mentioned disruptions are fixed to provide a "safe" stay in all respects for...
