Gîtes du Moulin de la Batteuse — Hotel in Forcalquier

We received a lovely warm welcome on arrival from Julie and her beautiful family. We absolutely loved the apartment in the heart of their very rustic and charming garden with the beautiful sounds of the water flowing, ducks quacking and stunning trees, the weeping willow…amazing! The location for us, was ideal as hobby photographers. We were 6 minutes drive from the lavender fields and another 20 the far side to more amazing views and lavender fields, great location for the early sunrise photos. Julie was so helpful to us with getting transport and recommending places to go. The apartment was a 5 minute walk into the village which is small with a few shops/restaurants but with a vehicle, you can venture further afield. We enjoyed the village of Valensole, strolling the different streets, hilly but lovely, again rustic and a certain charm to it. The apartment was quaint, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The air con was great, good bathroom water pressure etc plenty of dishes in kitchenette for self catering, a good cold fridge. I loved the subtle scent of lavender on my pillow when settling in at night. No wifi which was great, we had mobile data on our phones and it was lovely to switch off from the phones more while on holiday. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the mornings and evenings (candles provided) very relaxing and peaceful. Nous avons trouvé au Moulin tout ce que l’on peut souhaiter pour passer de magnifiques vacances en Provence : des propriétaires charmants et ultra accueillants, un cadre bucolique à deux pas du joli village de Valensole, un gîte douillet, tout coloré et frais, une situation géographique idéale pour sillonner la région et explorer ses merveilles, champs, vallées, lacs et rivières, effluves de lavande au nez. En résumé : un lieu paisible où il fait bon faire un break au rythme du soleil et du chant des cigales, à l’ombre de magnifiques saules...

Ein ganz tolles, außergewöhnliches Anwesen mit Teich. Quakende Frösche, Enten, riesigen Weidenbäumen, Chillgelegenheiten und sehr viel Ruhe und Natur. Das Gite ist sehr großzügig und man fühlt sich wunderbar. Ins Dorf sind es wenige Minuten zu Fuß. Julie und ihr Mann sind echt coole Gastgeber! Uns hat es sehr gefallen, leider waren wir nur 2...
