Pure Azur Immobilier — Hotel in Grasse

We found our stay in the house (ref. PAO291) in Tourrettes sur Loup last July to be unpleasant.

The smoke alarm went off several times during the first night due to its incorrect mounting (vertically on the wall, instead of horizontally on the ceiling). We reported this problem, but nothing was done about it.

The house was not tidy; many personal belongings were still there, such as used toiletries in the bathroom and food in the kitchen. Unwashed dishcloths and boxes of personal laundry were found in the utility room.

Furthermore, the house was filthy. The extractor hood hadn't been cleaned in years, and the freezer was full of crumbs and frozen ice. The showers and bathtub were covered in mold, as were the showerheads themselves. The space above the stairs was covered in dust and cobwebs. The dishwasher wasn't cleaning properly. We called to report the house was not clean.

During our stay, a toilet we weren't using became clogged, causing feces to build up and causing a nasty smell. This was quickly resolved, and the problem turned out to be due to cement in the sewer, washed away by a previous renovation.

The pool alarm wasn't properly set, resulting in sleepless nights because the wind set it off. Pure Azur stated they couldn't fix this.

Even more sleepless nights were caused by the very old mattresses, which were truly awful.

The Wi-Fi connection was very weak; an extender was installed, but even that made little difference.

One bedroom had a steel fan, which was so loud it was impossible to sleep. In short, hot, sleepless nights.

After two weeks of not being cleaned, the pool developed deposits on the walls. This was quickly resolved with chlorine, and the water became clear again, but the deposits on the walls remained. The day before our departure, it was finally thoroughly cleaned. A very poor level of service.

To make matters worse, I developed shortness of breath due to allergic asthma, as a reaction to dust or dog/cat hair.

As you can see from the above, we are extremely dissatisfied with our stay. We have never paid so much, almost €10.000,- for 18 nights, and received so little.

We requested for a compensation, but Pure Azur did not think this...

LOU100V - A Perfect Escape in the Heart of the South of France

We had the most incredible stay at this holiday rental in Vence! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The property is beautifully maintained, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and Vence in the distance. It’s peaceful, private, and full of charm - exactly what you’d hope for in the South of France.

The interiors were a beautiful traditional French style with modern comfort. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and we especially loved the outdoor terraces and pool - perfect for morning coffee or evening wine and a barbecue.

The location is ideal - just a short walk to the heart of Vence ( 5 to 10 minutes with no hills ) with its lovely shops, restaurants, and markets, yet tucked away enough to feel like a true retreat. The hosts ( Sophie and Helena ) were warm, welcoming, and helpful without being intrusive.

REF PHI134. Wonderful house with a stunning view of the mountains of Tourettes sur Loup. Very tasteful interior with all you need. Many rooms to fill with family and friends. Big lovely pool and sundeck. A quick drive to the village and close to restaurants and supermarkets. We would love to rent this property again.

Sophie and the team were very helpful and available all the time for questions.

We were two families with total four adults and six kids in the ages of 2 up tp 10 years and there were plenty of room for more guests.
