Better look for another hotel. I stayed here in June 2025 for a few days. Location is convenient, near to the Espace Encan. To the old city it is only 10 to 15 min by foot. It is located on a not-too-busy street. Hotel needs some renovation. Staff is rather unfriendly. But the real problem is that my colleague and I never received proper invoices. We only received a "provisional invoice" by email after we left. This document is not accepted for travel expenses. What makes it worse is that the amount on it is much less than what we paid. For weeks we are trying to get proper invoices now. The hotel claims that booking.com should provide an invoice, which they don´t do, as they are only intermediary. The staff at the hotel also claims that according to French law they can not provide an invoice which matches what we paid. They explain the significant gap with commission taken by booking.com. We spent weeks now corresponding with the hotel, ACCOR group and Booking.com. Surprising that ACCOR is not taking better care. Usually it is a good chain and I have stayed hundreds of nights in Accor hotels. Better stay away and look for...
Read moreOmg! This is probably one of the best hotels that I have stayed in. For a hotel that costs €100 for 2 nights including breakfast not only is it great value but I had a really comfortable sleep. ||You don't expect anything for somewhere that costs €100 for 2 nights. In Dublin where I live, you would be lucky to get a bed in a dormitory! Ok, the TV, shower and wifi are a little dodgy but what do people expect? I was very pleasantly surprised to find a very clean room where everything works. I stayed recently in a room in Neuchatel Switzerland which costs much more for 1 night (not including breakfast) than here and there was not even a TV there!||Everyone of the staff were lovely and very nice. Breakfast was excellent and on the first morning I had a few cups of coffee when I had more time. There is bread, baguettes, croissants, yogurt, cheese, juices and cereal. What more can one ask for!?||I would go back to this lovely hotel in a heartbeat. It is one of my very favourite hotels I have stayed in regardless of the price. I was so disappointed to have left it. Hopefully there will be...
Read moreWe recently spent 03/09 to 10/09 staying at Les Muguets hosted by Jacky B in La Rochelle. The property is traditionally furnished, is clean and well maintained and is perfectly located for accessing the centre of La Rochelle. Despite arriving late due to a delayed flight we were collected from the airport by Jacky who also kindly offered to take us back at the end of our stay. Although our property was attached to the owners we were given the run of the garden and were encouraged to help ourselves to the tomatoes growing etc.||There are local shops close by, bakery, butchers, cafe & small supermarket and the town centre with restaurants, the old port and the beach is only a 10 minute walk away. || We had a wonderful week here and would recommend staying here to anyone, the photos do not...
