We were looking for a hotel in a good location near the Normandy beaches easily accessible from Calais. We also wanted one outside any major towns and with parking facilities. This hotel seemed to fit the bill. Being on the coast, it was a little more expensive. We chose a room with a partial sea view, which meant that it was on the 3rd floor, looking over and past the houses in front. The stairs to the third floor were steep and we made as few journeys up and down as we could plan. The room had a separate bedroom and sitting room so we had adequate space and seating for our stay and the bed was large and comfortable. The hotel has free wi-fi which worked well even at the top of the building, but you need a separate password from reception for each device you wish to use, something not made clear to us on arrival. The owner and staff were very helpful and with their English and our French we managed to get by. The hotel has adequate car parking at the side, but in busy times you may have to reverse out into the road. The road in front of the hotel was not busy at night, so there was no problem from traffic noise. Overall, a very pleasant hotel, if perhaps a...
Read moreWe stayed here for a night in the middle of the winter and found the place to be perfect for our needs. Easy to find on the main street running along the coast. The host was nice, helpful and pointed us in the correct direction to where we could find a restaurant that was open. The host gave us the hotel's business card to show a restaurant that he suggested which we did use for a 5% discount. ||We were four so we booked the family room out back. It was January so use for the outside mini terrace but looked like a good spot to relax in the summer. I was pleasantly surprised that the host had made the room warm for arrival. It had one private bedroom, a lounge room that opened in to the other bed room. Clean and comfortable. No breakfast because we had no time. If in need again of a bed around here then I would not hesitate...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights with our family in a familysuite. It has two separate bedrooms and a separate entrance with a small terrace. This was very convenient with all the sand that our children brought home from the beach and to dry our wet gear! You just have to cross the street to access the beach.||The interior of the suite was simple but clean.||The owners are very friendly and helpful with recommendations of restaurants and things to do.||There are three restaurants in the village center which is a not too far from the hotel. It's necessary to make reservations for the restaurants in high season. The hotel only has a bar in the evening until 10 o'clock. ||Breakfast is simple but ok.||I think it's a great hotel for the price and enjoyed our...
