Great location by the Tarn river, very easy to find and with ample car parking. We were greeted in reception by the most affable manager Domi Cambefort: who we found to be the epitome of the perfect hotelier (he also has a keen sense of humour which he exploits at every opportunity!).
Our 'Superior' rooms on the 2nd floor were very clean and comfortable and, also with a view of the Viaduc de Millau (I was 'advised' by Domi that it was not a 'bridge' - I stand corrected!). Our evening meal was taken in the hotel's restaurant "Le Pot d'Etain" where we enjoyed the excellently prepared and delicious à la carte fare with friendly and efficient service and some good wine; also a good quality buffet breakfast the next morning. All in all very good value.
Would I return? Absolutely a resounding Yes! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. I look forward to the time when I may find myself back in the Millau area to revisit. My elderly mother would have loved to have stayed longer as she had enjoyed her stay so much and, was delighted to have her photo taken with Domi when we were leaving. The gift received was very much appreciated! Thank you Domi, you Sir, are a gentleman and a credit to...
Read moreWe picked the hotel for the location on the outskirts of Millau next to the river for easy access and secure parking (not wanting to navigate the city or its underground parking). We were not disappointed. Easy to find, excellent parking and brilliant location between the river and the old town. The infrastructure investment in Millau around the river is excellent - a great riverside walk with a view of the Viaduc, the Tarn and surrounding mountains for a great morning jog or walk.||||The hotel has been updated fairly recently and was really smart, tastefully decorated and well-appointed. The beds were the most comfortable we had on our whole trip. The team at the hotel are 'très gentil' - friendly, helpful and there was a real family atmosphere. ||||Food in the restaurant was great (there were even vegetarian options) and we had a good breakfast. We would definitely stay here again when in Millau and highly...
Read moreWe stayed here twice in October 2021. ||Parking outside was ample at the time of our visit late in the season.||We had a room with twin beds which were larger than usual and comfortable but the pillows were poor. The separate toilet cubicle was very small and I think that anyone taller or larger than average would struggle until they got used to it.||There was a function going on on the second visit (Saturday night) and we were kept awake with the noise so it's best to check before you book.||The hotel is near the river with riverside walks and it is only a 10 minute stroll to the old city centre.||We did not eat at the hotel as it lacked atmosphere and other restaurants and coffee places were within easy reach.||||Tip - when coming from the north, don't follow the satnav but follow...
