This enchanting property in one of the truly antique, charming medieval villages in S France is absolutely next level for luxury, comfort, style, and contemporary chic. Cutting edge Danish, Spanish design and artworks of the highest aesthetic is matched with gorgeous Vipp kitchens in some of the suites. The house embraces a stunning culinary studio and lounging spaces on the ground floor- a truly impressive reimagination of a dilapidated original bakery. It is a haven of tranquility hosted | managed by a young Portuguese couple, Bernardo and Mariana for whom no request is too much trouble and who bring a warm and welcoming spirit of true hospitality and service to this gem of a house with six sumptuous rooms. This gem of a place to stay is not a conventional hotel. Each room is more like a studio apartment, complete with a kitchen and living area. The kitchen might come in handy, even for those not much inclined to cook, because Lagrasse is a small place and on Mondays in particular there are not many restaurants open for dinner. Our room had a little terrace overlooking the courtyard -- perfect for eating the cassoulet we'd bought earlier from a nearby restaurant.||The Bouquerie doesn't have a restaurant but breakfast is made for you every morning. Every morning it's different and every morning it's delicious. ||The rooms don't have much of a view, but they are big enough for you to make yourself at home. And the beds are superbly comfortable. Not sure where to begin listing the accolades associated with this very special hotel. Each and every detail throughout the bouquerie is carefully curated to assure comfort and style. From the incredible art work and lovely furnishings throughout, to the thoughtful amenities and kind and attentive staff, there are no details that have gone unnoticed in each room and common space. While very high quality in every way, guests always feel so comfortable in every chair, couch, bed, etc - which makes it all so welcoming. The breakfast and dining area (a gorgeous demonstration cook kitchen) is one of the very best we've experienced - not to mention the town of Lagrasse itself, which is so so special as a destination.
