I do not recommend this place at all, especially their service. Avoid this location if you are traveling solo—I felt unsafe.

The advertisement claimed the hotel was in Nice, but it’s actually very far—an hour and a half away in a small village. At first glance, the hotel seems okay, and the village is cute, but the rooms smell, and the carpets feel old. The worst part, however, is the service.

When I arrived and realized how far the hotel was, I was disappointed. They told me I’d be charged a penalty if I left, so I decided to stay the night since they were going to charge me anyway. There are no restaurants nearby, with cafes being 25-30 minutes away.

The hotel has a restaurant called Ze Chef. When I went there, two older waiters served me, but they weren’t friendly, just wearing false, snobby smiles. I was hungry and wanted to sit, so I ignored the dirty tablecloth and the insanely high prices. I ordered a set of three dishes. The first course came quickly, but the second took ages. I tried to get the waiter’s attention, but he ignored me. Later, he said it was part of the service, even though I hadn’t finished my salad, which I was saving to eat with the fish.

After two hours, nearly everyone had left, and I was one of the last people there. Already upset with the hotel’s location, this restaurant experience made things worse. I said that I very angry to wait such a long time . They started to blame me that they wanted to serve but I was in a phone and keeping my salad. Yes !!!!!! I was keeping my salad to eat with a next dish fish!!! Then they supposedly to bring me but still around 15 minutes I had to wait. When they brought that fish I tried and was shocked . That it was truly disgusting. On a pillow of oily potato with unpleasant sticky sauce and fish smelled unfresh. I told them I would only pay for the salad, but they charged me for all three courses, including the dessert I never received. I refused to pay for food I hadn’t eaten. This escalated, and they called the police, smiling and saying I would go to jail. Imagine how I felt—sleepy, tired, and hungry, surrounded by seven men who were pressuring me to pay. I was terrified when they encircled me, and the chef, along with the restaurant workers, laughed at my distress while I tried to explain I hadn’t even eaten the meal. And it’s obviously not about money. It’s a needed being respectful towards customers and do not let them wait ages for dishes.

When the police arrived, they claimed not to speak English and didn’t stay with me. They advised me to file a complaint the next day. In the end, I was forced to pay for food I didn’t eat. They gave me the leftovers in a takeaway bag, which looked worse than supermarket food. They refused to price their names, chef (a huge fat man) pushed and blocked the door and they locked me in their building. I was shocked and scared that they did not try to explain to help me, and just pushing to pay me with no providing food .

The night shift worker at the hotel was no help either. I felt scared as a solo traveler. When I returned to the hotel, I tried to speak to other guests for support, but they pretended not to understand. The man at reception was extremely rude and demanded my room number. I was afraid they might come to my room, so I’m just waiting for morning to leave as soon as possible.

Please stay away from...

Absolutely amazing hotel ! And fantastic staff - especially Daniela every morning greeting us with a lovely smile, so happy and friendly and helpful every morning, always asked how our morning gym session was and nothing was any trouble, she was a lovely lady, hope you get to have the best holiday in November! 🥰 Breakfast was healthy fresh and delicious always plenty of food. Spotless breakfast room. Clean tidy and modern entrance hotel outside beautiful. Our room was spotless and cleaners were brilliant our room was cleaned top to bottom every day, mini bar stocked everyday, bed was so comfy had an amazing sleep every night, curtains were black out so excellent sleep. Room temperature great as was hottest June in a long time, we were always just right temperature in the room. Room was good size was able to unpack our cases and had a place for everything and we don’t travel light. Bathroom spotless shower lovely. We went to the gym everyday always water stocked up in fridge and fresh towels. Did a great workout each day with equipment I needed. Staff on reception were lovely with a bonjour every morning and if I asked for anything I received it straight away to our room within minutes like iron, iron board. Lady on reception on our last day was very helpful as our flights were cancelled to come home and none available until 3 days time , she gave us helpful info including informing us of delays on trains also and we were able to decide how we would get home from her info. Just to let you know we arrived home safely in UK after a long journey home. We hired a car from the airport and drove for 11 hours through the night from Nice to Paris and had to get the euro star train to London then a train from London to Liverpool and then a train home nightmare but we made it home and it took 22 hours altogether. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely week in your beautiful hotel and for all being so nice ...

I was so impressed with how well your hotel balanced the number of stars with the level of feeling luxurious and cared for. There were not washcloths, but there were vanity kits to take off makeup and large soft robes and nice slippers to cosy up into upon arrival and I unwind at the end of the day. There was nothing I felt was missing and everything I like about a fancier hotel with another star. And the STAFF is exceptional. Every single person in your employment was courteous and helpful. Also, the hotel restaurant the Petit Prince Bistro was very convenient and the food was delicious. The location was ideal and aside from having a mountain room (the noisier side) as opposed to the beach facing side (my bad for missing out on the beach facing room by booking late)...it was a perfect stay! Everything was done well and done right. Thank you and your staff (Especially Eva, Carolina and the woman from Italy - as well as Franck and Estelle)....You hit the sweet spot! I will remember this wonderful stay and recommend to friends and family. Thank you again...

Excellent Hotel, small and well run by dedicated staff. Staff understands and speaks english and german, and also some of the front desk speaks dutch. Clean rooms, very close to the beach. Parking, although often full, is free, and paid parking is close by. Motorcycle parking inside hotel garden, behind gates and fence. Free beach towels available in reception. Free soft drinks and water in room minibar. Breakfast buffet satisfactory, freshly baked and high quality stuff, however not a very large selection of food. Great breakfast terrace doubles as evening drinks spot, super view of the ocean. In addition there is outdoor seating for evening gatherings. Sun terrace on 1st floor. Restaurant located in hotel is good. Only tiny downside is that it is 10 -15 minutes pleasant walk along the beachfront (Promenade de Soleil) to the centre of the old city. Will definitely use hotel again if going back to the Riviera.
