It would be very difficult to find any fault at all with this hotel. The friendliest of staff, who work hard to make your stay home from home and succeed.|We had booked a room at the back overlooking the town and Mar Estang, a lovely green, lush view and quiet room.|The room…..the most comfortable bed, pillows and duvet, a newly renovated hotel, the room was very well designed and although the space was not huge, this almost added to the charm as it was so well planned.|The toilet is separate which is useful, the bathroom snug but comfortable and spotlessly clean, lovely soft towels and great toiletries in a nice large pump.|We were surprised how frequently we used the Nepresso coffee maker and supplies replenished every day, including artisan tea bags, a small thing but at this hotel there is a great deal of attention to detail.||This detail continued to the public areas, in the reception there was always a chilled glass barrel of water with tap which was flavoured with fresh slices of lime, glasses always available to quench any thirst, especially after coming in from the hot sun and sandy beach.|A small concise bar menu which is very reasonable for beers, inc artisan local craft beer, hot drinks, wines, spirits etc and small plates of food, inc muffins.. it would have been great to have had this menu available in the room as we were a bit slow to notice it in the bar during the first few days.|The bar is at the front of the hotel and well stocked, beautifully looked after.||If you do not know the area, Canet Plage is a beautiful long and wide beach with plenty of beach clubs available to hire sun beds and parasols in great settings with a restaurant and bar service. 2 sun beds and parasol in an exclusive and pleasurable setting is around €30 per day. The Best Western Plus is ideally situated with rooms and hotel frontage facing the wonderful blue Mediterranean Sea and glorious beach. The prettiest crazy golf course I have seen is in front of the hotel, this only enhances the view. Countless restaurants are along the front with great lunchtime 3 course menus for around €20 per head.|If you are thinking we are totally smitten with the Best Western Plus you would be right, we loved it and will return, the bonus being that it is facing Canet Plage.|Thank you to all of the amazing staff and...
Read moreExcellent hotel on the seafront in Canet Plage. We stayed for a long weekend in May and had booked one of the seaview rooms. The hotel is quite compact but the rooms are reasonably spacious. We never felt cramped. Our room was on a high floor with a balcony and the beautiful sea view. The room was immaculate on arrival and was cleaned thoroughly every day. Looks like the rooms have been refurbished in recent times and the fixtures etc were all good quality. The bed was large and really comfortable. A Nespresso machine with capsules was included and replenished each day, a nice touch not common in French hotels. ( Not sure if that is a standard feature in all rooms...). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast restaurant was very well run and the buffet selection very good ( both continental and hot breakfast available), much better than we have experienced in many hotels in France. The location is slightly away from the more busy end of the promenade but still only a short 10min walk to many bars and restaurants. While there is paid parking nearby, at the time of our visit we never had a problem finding a free parking spot just outside the hotel. A superb wide sandy beach is directly opposite the hotel. Be aware that if you book a Seaview room, you will also have the road directly below, plus the beach bar just opposite. On our visit, the road was not a problem, but the beach bar played loud music on the Saturday night until past 01:00am....not great and the reason why I only give 4 stars for location. The photos on the web are all a good representation of reality. Overall I would certainly recommend this hotel as a great place to spend time at...
Read moreI stayed in two different rooms at this property. The first one with no sea view. Had no robes, or slippers. The rooms are small. Also from this location the wind was extremely strong because was arriving at this side.
The sea view room was beautiful with a better coffee machine. And of course with an amazing view. And we had all the amenities.
The receptionist is very good and they really take care of you.
For the buffet is good one of the best that I have seen in France. Can be busier and the tables are close, because of this people can be noisy sometimes and you won’t be able to speak at all. During breakfast my friend was accused of taking items on their purse.( one waitress guy said this) so we finish with people looking to us every time that we stand up for something. As always they spoke in French and we were speaking English. So they thought that we didn’t understand this. It’s a buffet and people doesn’t have need to take food with them. So was rude and mean the assumption of the workers.
The beverages at night or the food is prepackaged so you order and arrive like food on the plane so take this on...
