Well where to begin. After travelling around France for over 10 days and staying in 10 different hotels this has to be the worst thanks to the RAC. After breaking down the auto club decided that this hotel was suitable. On arrival the room seemed clean albeit very basic. Car park dirty, bar staff some of the most miserable I have incountered. Decided to try the restaurant after reading so many reviews. Sat down and noticed most of the tables were still full of dirty dishes from the last customers. Waited 20 minutes and we were completely ignored. Then a french couple arrived and were immediately seated and served. Decided to leave. Sat in bar awaiting a drink and my partner pointed out the amazing amount of small flies all over the bar especially the ceiling. We sat outside in the sun for a few drinks to enjoy the sun. Tables dirty and yet again rubbish on tables. We left to have dinner in the novotel next door. Wonderfull experience. On returning some hour later all our glasses and bottles were still outside. You certainly get what you pay for at this hotel. Avoid or be...
Read moreI've been to many hotels and can't often find something unique or positive to say but this Ibis is great. The check in process was incredibly quick as the keys were ready and waiting for us. The decor in the room is modern and quite different from other hotels I've stayed in recently with grey, red and white colours. The shower is hot and powerful, the hairdryer quite decent for a hotel, wall mounted one. The floor in the bathroom has a wood effect rather than the normal white lino which is a welcome relief and immediately makes the bathroom feel welcoming. The bathroom is a decent size too. The bed is very comfy and I look forward to falling asleep shortly. The wardrobe is larger than normal for a hotel like this, with a few hangars provided and multiple shelves. TV is a good size and a modern flat screen located in a good position in the room. I would happily stay in this hotel for a few days when visiting Reims. I've seen some comments complaining about the size of the rooms but I find it to be as expected for a hotel of...
Read moreWarm and comfortable overnight hotel. Reception staff were efficient and booking in stress free and slick. The room was small but very clean and comfortable, with thermostatic wall mounted controls for the ambient heating, though I still found the room rather warm. Owing to the main road just outside, the window could not be opened, but the room was absolutely quiet with the window closed..a triumph of the double glazers art! The bedding was the standard Ibis thick duvet and firm pillows, very clean and fresh. |The shower unit had very safe level access which gave me no problems. |The breakfast selection was extensive and impressive. A bit taken aback that diners had to boil their own eggs, and even though the timing instructions were in English , I decided not to bother!|An excellent place for travellers to stop as it is to the west of Reims , just off the motorway, with main roads in all directions, so a quick and easy get away in...
