It is a budget hotel and that's what you must remember all the time. It seemed that there was one person doing all the jobs - we saw her in reception and sorting laundry, so you have to use the phone on the desk to attract attention - not a problem once you've worked out out. The rooms are small but serviceable, we had a double bed with a bunk, but you need to take care not to knock your head on the bunk when getting on and off the bed! The bathroom is quite large, a nice shower, lovely decor. Knocked a star off because it looked as if under the bed hadn't been cleaned for a week! Well placed for the auto route and not hard to get to or leave from. A good variety of restaurants within walking distance, can recommend the Italian. Also a bowling alley which seems to attract youth to the area who are not quiet but the noise didn't go on all night, and we had a good night's sleep. If you don't want frills and you do want a decent clean bed for the night...
Read moreWe have been away for a few weeks and needed a stop off on the way home. Having been to many Ibis hotels, we thought this would be ideal as it was a three person bedroom and they were providing a cot as well (we are a family of four). Turned up and we were told we would need to pay for an extra room as it’s only three people per room (regardless of age), even though booking.com allowed us to book for four people. Staff were unaccommodating, bed was extremely uncomfortable, bad soundproofing, lots of noise and light from outside, cables hanging out of the ceiling, lift wasn’t working.
He tried to find us a different hotel but said the other hotel was fully booked although strangely there was a room still available on booking.com By that point, both children were tired and exhausted after a long day of driving and needed a feed etc so we unfortunately decided to stay anyway and pay for an extra room which...
Read morePay attention who you hire at the reception. Due to horrible experience this night Ibis is no longer an option for me. I had to drive extra 3h in the middle of the night. Summary: the girl from the reception didn't want to let me to enter my room with my family because of our baby of 10mo. However her mentioned policy of having max. 3 persons in a room is not written on booking. I asked for an upgrade so I am able to sleep with my family in the same room. Is the first time in my entire life when someone asked me to order a different room just for a 10mo baby. She was very rude and she behaved like she is owning the hotel. I'm quoting her "if you ordered a room of 3 you or your wife should find another hotel" - are you seriously? A claim was submitted to the management hopefully they will find someone more professional at...
