We six stayed at Chambres D’Hotes la Fontaine last night. Sylvie and her husband have a beautiful home about 1km from the bridge of Espalion. It is up quite a steep hill so Sylvie routinely offers to collect guests in her car from the centre of town. When we arrived she allowed us to wash and dry two loads on her washing machine and did not accept payment. In the evening she drove us to a nice restaurant in town and collected us afterwards. The next morning she proudly gave us breakfast, most of which she had cooked or preserved herself. In addition she has a beautiful cappuccino machine from which she proudly made us each two espresso coffees. There is a swimming pool and Jacuzzi if your really feeling tired and beat from a long days walk. We were driven to dinner (a 3 minute drive to town) and picked up with no wait at all. Finally breakfast was amazing. Far too much to eat, but we did try hard. We can't say enough good things...

Lovely views from the property and there is also a great pool. On arrival it was so relaxing to sit on the terrace and enjoy a cold beer. Breakfast was served in an elegant dining room which also included some divine cakes. This certainly fueled us well for a long day of walking. Evening meals are not provided...
