Really stay away from this hotel. The rooms are tired and the service is slow, but the owner is what sets it apart from other past-their-sell-by tourist traps. He greeted my ageing parents - who had travelled all day and were tired - by telling them he hadn’t got their booking and there were no more rooms. Just his little joke according to his wife, though one my folks didn’t get as they fretted about what to do. He spent the rest of their stay offering snide remarks, as did his equally impolite staff.||If you don’t believe me go on Booking dot com and enjoy his feedback for any review that dares to criticise anything! Read more18th May 2014 - Having been driven to distraction by the people at the place we had planned to stay we arrived early evening at La Croix Blanche Logis Hotel at Montrichard on spec on a Sunday and were found a room. It was pleasantly old fashioned, clean and comfortable. We had a comfortable bed and a blissfully quiet night. Breakfast was a cold continental buffet but varied and plentiful. The helpful owner booked us into another hotel for dinner overlooking the river and that was excellent. Parking is in the road outside.
