I simply don’t know where to begin. This place is a disaster with a facade of cool and luxury on the outside and on the inside.. it’s FAWLTY TOWERS. The only reason I am taking the time to write this review is because of the hardworking staff. If not for them, this shambles of a hotel, would not be much. Let’s start with check in.. one, yes, ONE, staff member, running the WHOLE hotel solo, check in, answering phones, running to the bar and the beck and call of all the hotel guests. But wait.. there’s more.. she was also trying to conduct interviews with the three ladies waiting on the foyer - new recruits (no surprises here). We arrive to our, inter-connecting rooms to find the doors closed and a bedside drawer and chair in the way.. we manoeuvre the furniture ourselves so as not to bother said solo staff member downstairs. Upon entering the main room, we notice one of the single sides to the king bed is seriously drooping into the middle. Not to worry, I’m exhausted, it will be fine. Mistake.. I did not sleep well for the entire stay. We call to have ice delivered to the room, we would like to chill our warm wine we’ve bought and the very small fridges do not have room for wine bottles of any kind and are filled with a few bottles of complimentary water and snacks to purchase. We wait… whilst waiting … we discover, only paper cups in the entire room. So I head downstairs so as not to have to call solo worker for glasses of wine, ice bucket and tea cups for morning / paper cups and wooden stirrers only provided! Oh, and, no milk! After a horrendous sleep in the sloping bed and extremely loud AC.. we head out for the day, tidying our room for the cleaner, placing towels on the floor and pulling back the quilts of the bed to display said slope in case anyone wants to take time to fix it. We are out for 8 hours. Upon our return, our rooms have not been made up except for bins emptied. I am bemused… why? “Because I did not place the card on the bed to change the sheets”. Okay.. but I have never, in my, hundreds of hotel room stays, ever seen such an excuse for not at least making the bed. When questioned, the excuse given was I had items on the bed.. this was not the case. I had our personal pillows and that is all. Frustrated, we need wine! Ha, but alas, the ice machine is broken and there is no ice madam. We drink warm wine, fall into sloping bed and listen to the AC drumming all night. We wake with little sleep. I need to iron my clothes. Mademoiselle brings me the iron, but no board. “We do not have a board” ..???!! What?! How am I supposed to iron? “On the table madam, this is the French way” ….. we head out for the day with a promise and guarantee our room will be serviced. We are gone for 5 hours 1-6pm. We return again to an unmade room. The cleaners, two young women who look to be contracted, have been too busy. We are told they can come now.. desperate for a good night’s sleep, I guide them to the room and ask them to simply fix the sloping bed. What ensues is a calamity of grand proportions and sees me assisting them to make the bed. I simply do not have any energy to complete the rest of my review but to say, we ate dinner in the restaurant and it was very good, but again, ONE waitress for the entire restaurant meant we waited 15 minutes for a glass of water and to place our first drink order. The wifi is non-existent in rooms 104 and 105. No room service on Sunday when all shops are closed also so I’m going to bed hungry. Very underwhelming. I sincerely hope my review is considered and appreciated as my time here has been unenjoyable and I am bitter about parting with my $1000AUD+ for 3 nights. Do your homework here. Now I will write the same using different words. 1 On booking.com you have reception 24/7 in reality it was closed at 11pm. 2 WiFi don't have any security protocols, password isn't security protocol. Read about phishing then you will know what I mean. I had problem to connect with your WiFi, because it don't have security protocols, not because I wanted to go on unauthorised websites as you attack me. That's right I had to pay penalty for smoking my bad I admit, and I don't have problem with this. My problem is that you take payment for room twice. At first I contact with you on booking.com, and you at first told me that was for smoking. But I payed penalty separately during checkout, later you change your mind, and it was prepayment, but prepayment is just a payment before check in. Not before check in and after check out. I payed 90,70€ for hotel, then 21€ for breakfast with one wasn't worth this money, because you count danone yoghurt as 1 choose actimel as 2 choose, it wasn't big opportunities with one you told us. In many different hotels where they told us that they don't have big choose, they had much more. I don't saw yours 11 chooses and 3 types. When I was on breakfast I could choose boiled eggs, 4 types of rolls and danone plus actimel that's all. That's why I'm not satisfied. After contact with booking.com you decline my reservation on portal, then they asked me if I were there. You did it 2 days after check out. I'm also not satisfied about your goal with one is „clean" but bathroom wasn't clean I show you picture and you still telling me that not true. Like everything what was wrong you telling me that I'm lying. But only one who lie here is you, I just wanted to get my 90,70€ with one you took twice that's all. I can cover my data on transaction confirmation and put them here. You acting like cheaters, you asked me to turn off my safety protocols in my devices to connect with unsecured WiFi... To be able to steal my all data from phone, or what? It isn't big problem to create WiFi network with security protocols. You have just beautiful common areas in your hotel. Room is big enough for 4 stars but that's all. It wasn't clean when I came to your hotel, maybe you just made a mistake maybe it is always like that. I don't know, but during my visit bathroom wasn't clean. I don't know another hotels on France, but in different countries in Europe from* in better prices I slept in better rooms, I was even in ** hotels you can read my another opinions, Im always honest. If something is bad then I wrote about that. But as *** hotel yours is the worse I ever been. That's why my opinion about yours hotel is like it is. I'm sending one picture to prove that bathroom wasn't clean as it should be. And I'm waiting for my 90,70€ with one you took twice. I have transactions for 90,70€ (for hotel) 21€ (breakfast) 48,20(penalty) 90,70€ (for hotel). You trying to hide yours mistakes. Normal respectful hotel will agree on discussion to solve the problem, you start attack me on booking. You don't have respect for people....
