Marvellous views, hotel refurbished to good standard
Most beautifully situated right on the River Loire, with a fairytale mini-chateau right opposite, this hotel is worth visiting just for the delight of sitting out in the garden and looking around you.
Rooms small, as are bathrooms, but have been recently refurbished to a good standard.
However, we did feel that it was over-priced compared to others - are they charging extra for the view? Their cancellation charge of 30€ per room per day payable if you cancel within a month of your arrival also seems a bit steep. And when we were there on a rainy day in June we couldn't have dinner at the hotel as the only dining area was outside in the pouring rain, so had to trudge to the village and find a cafe there.

We had booked a twin room which was verry basic although the bathroom was good. There were no proper glasses in the room, we had to have our usual pre-dinner Gin and Tonics in mugs, that was a first. The room was in an annexe but was really quiet and again the view was lovely.||The Montsorelli Restaurant is part of the hotel complex. It has outdoor tables for beautiful days where one can dine while drinking in the view. Also there is an inside dining room for more inclement weather.||The prices in the restaurant were quite high but the food was good and there was a great buzz. I would certainly dine here again if, for nothing else other...

Great little traditional hotel, staff on call when you arrive as there didn't seem to be a full-time receptionist, you use the phone on the desk; lovely. Breakfast is basic, some bread, croissant, jams and tea or coffee; has to be coffee when in France. For an evening meal we used the restaurant across the road which has some sort of connection to a the hotel, but you can't add the cost of the meal to your room. The hotel structure is a mixture of very old and new, creeky floorboards and low ceilings, did catch my head once going up the stairs, hillirious. Would highly recommend and...
