The problem is .... wait ... there are no problems here. The cooking here mixes tradition and invention, without the invention getting in the way of the reason we all come to France. The maigre (jewfish or mulloway) here must have been 6-8kg, and it flakes and juices as only sensitively line caught, well butchered fish will. The rest of the plate is handled in a manner so French it makes love, not war. The desserts are 90s cool and steeped in good cookery, so they come together like great flavours will. Very good bread survives freezing, so we can enjoy it on this Monday visit. The wine by the glass from nearby Saunur also keeps up the quality, as does the multilingual service. Highly...

Our family enjoyed a lovely meal on the terrace. Here is the group review: 9-year old: “The meat (pork for two) is so good!” 11-year old: “It was a very enjoyable dinner that I would rate highly. Everyone is very passionate, including the cooks and servers. 7-year old: “The fish and the dessert were very good. My favourite part of the dinner was dessert. Bring a warm jumper if you eat outside.” The adults appreciated the charming, modern decor, the outstanding but reasonably priced wine list comprising primarily organic and biodynamic wines, and the vegetable-centric cuisine featuring organic, local products with many products having Demeter (biodynamic)...

We’ve eaten in Ververt 3 times in two visits to the area. All times we had truly excellent food; a mushroom soup to die for, and this year an elegant combination of raw cod (like Sashimi) presented on a succulent slice of melon and accompanied by grapefruit and for the main course, a pan-seared tuna which was delightfully red in the middle and vegetables delicately and artfully cooked to perfection. Très beau restaurant, très belle façade, il a gardé l’esprit d’une maison surtout à l’étage, avec différentes pièces, c’est chaleureux, belle décoration, l’accueil est correct un peu distant mais correct, tous très harmonieux, le site web est super classe, on sent un très bon esprit de famille ou d’équipe, un bémol on m’a demandé de réserver en donnant mon empreinte de carte bancaire, je comprends qu’ils doivent se protéger des personnes incorrectes, mais je pense qu’il y a d’autres moyens , ça me dérange, autre bémol quand je vais dans un restaurant noté 4,9/5 on s’attend à être impressionné par les plats, c’est quasiment l’excellence, les plats sont bons il n’y a rien a dire, les produits sont de très bonne qualité, mais j’ai trouvé qu’il manquait d’association entre les aliments. J’ai commandé en dessert on me l’a vendu comme un soufflé au chocolat à 17€ à partager , on s’attend à un dessert généreux, quelle déception, gateau de 2 cm d’épaisseur , ça ressemble plus à un fondant , c’était excellent oui mais pour moi ce n’était pas un soufflé. On a pris un saint nectaire il était à mon goût insipide. Du site web, à l’accueil, au service et aux plats ca me laisse penser qu’ils visent une étoile. J’aurais préféré me régaler un peu plus. Attention les bémols sont des bémols, vous passerez une excellente soirée et vous vous régalerez.

A real gourmet experience. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Friendly service and interesting decor. Small menu but a focus on quality. I had two fish dishes - lotte and lieu jaune - both excellent, followed by a chocolat entremet. There is a very extensive wine list including many local Loire options. Not cheap but good value for a quality dining experience.

A real gourmet experience. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Friendly service and interesting decor. Small menu but a focus on quality. I had two fish dishes - lotte and lieu jaune - both excellent, followed by a chocolat entremet. There is a very extensive wine list including many local Loire options. Not cheap but good value for a quality dining experience.
