Disappointed from my initial review back in 2018 below, the showers are dirty and in need of the shower hoses and grout removed of dirt and mildew, the gents shower area is tiny and you end up soaking your clothes whilst trying to wash.. no good. The toilets don't have individual toilet rolls so you have to guess how much you need before you go in and probably end up wasting toilet roll not saving it. The WiFi up the Linga end of the site is dreadful so don't Bank on using "free wifi" whilst there, you can see it but our's and our friends devices all got kicked off after about 5mins then very intermittent after that so ended up using our data. We thought we booked an actual pitch but when we arrived we were placed up against the hedge line adjacent to the main road and can be noisy. The pool area is lovely but would benefit from having a shower to use afterwards rather than have to walk up to the main shower block in your swimming costume in the snow and 40 odd steps.
2018 Awesome site, very friendly, couldnt help us enough with anything,Great facilities would...
Read moreMy boyfriend and i have a lot of camping experience, and this was by far the best one. (We stayed with our tent in July) Great location for biking, downhill, skiing, hiking or just enjoying Portes Du Soleil in general. I don't know how they do it, but we were there for seven days and didn't find one unclean shower, toilet, floor or sink. They inform you very well of everything (we were there during a particular bad storm and they took really good care of us and gave great tips for staying in a tent during a storm), but also local events and stuff. It's very peaceful, yet very welcoming towards childeren Very friendly and helpful staff, they clearly do what they love to do. There is enough for everybody. Showers, toilets, space at the pool... We were there during summer season and even got the pool to ourselves a few times eventhough the camp-ground was packed.
We're defenitly coming back, winter and summer, and strongly recommend. This is exactly what a camp-ground...
Read moreWe had only booked 1 night here due to our busy schedule and can only wish we made time for a longer stay. The lady (unfortunately did not catch her name) was extremely friendly and accommodating even when we arrived at 6:56pm. The pitch area was clean and well presented. We were given the choice bewtween multiple pitches which was great as we were travelling with an 8 month old so we could pitch up where we wouldn't bother anyone else should he wake up during the night etc. The location is fantastic with gorgeous views of the valley. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. We particularly enjoyed Chatel itself, a very welcoming and friendly area with plenty of shops and local market stalls. Overall a fantastic stay where we will be sure to visit...
