We were in the premier accommodation. Excellent choice for us, four adults and three children.
Bike hire essential for the stay, alternatively a buggy, which us elders chose and was a godsend.
Lots to do but avoid wasting money on the perfume workshop, lasted 10 minutes!!
It was 36° most days so morning activities preferably and just swim in the afternoon/evening. Ladies, the Swimwear Police are on duty much of the time, ensure that you have the appropriate swimwear guys or they will embarrassly ask you leave, even if you and the family are just about to enter the pool!
Food places are generally good, especially the Italian Restaurant, the Crêpes Restaurant.
The Bakery is a great place for morning coffee and spoil yourself on one of their delicious pastries. Definitely spoil yourself. Their bread is also better than the supermarket offerings.
The farm play area, and indeed the other play options for children, was excellent and our little ones requested return visits. Note. The tap beer is €10 a pint in this venue. And it's not that great!
The supermarket is sufficient for holiday purposes. Average prices, fresh fruit a little pricey and very quickly going off.
But you can make your own pizza in the supermarket and the ready meals were reasonable priced and ample in size and quality.
Rats. We saw a couple just at the beginning of the holidays, but what would you expect in this setting. We quickly made friends with Swans, Ducks, Vole, Great Tits(birds), Rails(red beaked birds) and Coypu (looks like a beaver 🦫 at rest site). So after a brief sighting of rats, there memory disappeared to the regress of the mind as we were delighted at regular visitors at breakfast and general relaxation time on our patio area. The ducks etc would just make themselves known and family friendly. Our grandchildren just loved the local wildlife visiting as we relaxed outside on our private patio with lakeside position. I've seen more rats in Blackpool 😂
So overall we had a great holiday here and would definitely return at a cooler time of the year. We were...
Read moreAlthough the resort itself and accommodations were nice, the language barrier with security lead to an awful experience! I tried for 2 days in a row to extend my stay by one night but unfortunately got nowhere. We called down in the morning to ask for a late checkout (which can be done on a Sunday) but unfortunately because I called before 9, I spoke with security. Security told us we have until 1pm. We repeated the time back and he verified 1pm was correct. Around 11:30am while I was getting ready to go talk with the reservation office, house keeping came by. I explained to her the best I can, again with the language barrier, that I was trying to extended my stay and was getting ready to go down to the reservation office. As I left my room I reiterated what I was doing to her and she said ok as if she understood. While my husband and I were speaking with someone in the office, my kids (teenagers) called to say security was there threatening for us to get out. While I understand their policy, we were confused when technically we still had another hour according to the conversation with security from earlier that morning. We later found out, while we were gone the house keeping lady called security. Security then lied to the office and said they told us to go down to the office at 9am not that we can stay until 1pm. Which is not what was told to us. Although the reservation office tried to work with me, it didn’t seem enough for what my kids had to go through especially with it being my youngest child’s birthday. It really put a damper on our day. We really would love to come back again but now we are apprehensive because of...
Read moreI absolutely do not recommend this place. From the reception to the room it’s a 13-minute walk, which is quite a distance. The photos on the hotel’s website and on Booking are heavily edited and photoshopped, because the actual standard of the apartment is nothing like what’s shown in the pictures. The bathroom and furniture are very worn out.
What really discouraged and put me off, however, was how dirty the room was. Under the bed and behind the doors there were piles of dust and hair. The bathroom was truly dirty, the bed linen was stained, and the pillowcases had holes in them. The curtains were very dirty. The floor doesn’t seem to be cleaned at all – when my towel fell on the bathroom floor it turned gray with black streaks. The toilet smelled of stale urine.
There was no toilet paper or soap in the bathroom, no toiletries, no cleaning service, and no towel change – so it is definitely not up to hotel standards, which was very surprising to me. In the bathroom and kitchen there were cockroaches running around. There are no mosquito nets on the windows, so I don’t recommend opening them – we had a ground-floor room, the area is wooded, so there are surely plenty of insects, mosquitoes, and other animals that could enter the room.
Smoking is allowed on the terraces, so for a non-smoker it’s not pleasant to spend time there. If you’re expecting convenient transportation to Disneyland, you will also be disappointed. The bus leaves every half an hour, but in the morning it’s usually delayed due to traffic jams. Walking to the bus stop takes 13 minutes, walking from the stop to the Park another 10 minutes, and the bus ride in the morning takes 37–45 minutes. You can actually get there faster from central Paris.
The water park is nice, but you have to pay 5 EUR for a pool towel. There are restaurants on the campus, but in the evening expect to wait about 1–1.5 hours for a table. I’m surprised Disney recommends this place. I absolutely do not.
