We booked this hotel for 10 days with a sea view room, as we were traveling with our toddler and wanted comfort without having to move around too much. On arrival, we were given room #20 with a beautiful view. Unfortunately, less than 10 minutes in, we realized the room was directly next to the condenser (outdoor AC unit), which made a constant loud noise. I immediately told the manager that this was impossible to tolerate for 10 days. Their first response was: “We don’t have other rooms, and the money is non-refundable.”||||They later said someone would “fix” the noise in the morning, but clearly they were already aware of this issue. After a sleepless first night, they offered us either a much smaller room (not possible with all the baby’s things) or a room without a sea view. Eventually, they told us that if we endured one more night in the noisy room, they could give us another sea view room for 5 nights—but then we would have to return to the horrible room for the last 2 nights. We decided instead to cut our vacation short by 2 days.||||The new room was supposedly their “best” room (port cros ) with a great view. But first night, while trying to put my son to sleep, I saw a mouse in the room. We had to move all our belongings off the floor and chase it out ourselves. When I reported it, the night staff simply said they had “never heard of that before.” The next morning, another staff member came with a small device and casually said mice were “not a big deal” and even “cute.” This was shocking and unacceptable for a hotel that presents itself as a vacation destination.||||Between the unbearable noise, the poor customer service, the constant room changes, and finally the mouse in the room, this hotel completely ruined the peaceful holiday we had planned. We left early, exhausted and disappointed.||||I do not recommend this hotel, especially for families or anyone...
Read moreAfter a stressful day of multiple problems with our vehicle since getting off the ferry from Corsica, we were heading towards Toulon for repairs but it was already too late for the garage so basically we just need somewhere to spend the night. I chose the first hotel I found online and headed to Hotel La Potiniere at Hyeres, approx. 20 km before Toulon. What we found was an unexpected treasure ....we could not possibly have been luckier, this hotel was a pleasure from the first contact we had on the phone with Adeline to each and the every member of the staff we encountered. Besides the amazing location, right on the beach, next to the very pleasant little port and restaurants nearby, the standard of service and pleasantness was outstanding at every turn. Ludo was always ensuring any of our needs were met, nothing was too much trouble...the level of cleanliness was reassuring and we were offered a delicious lunch even although the hotel had only been catering for a private party. We decided to stay a little longer and although the hotel was fully booked over the weekend ( off season mid-October which speaks for itself), Philppe, the patron, kindly managed to accommodate us, he was always so kind and helpful. Wish we had known about this hotel before, I would have come here earlier for at least a week!. To Philippe, Ludo, Adeline, and the housekeeping team of Aline, Karine and Isabelle, thank you so much for making what started as a stressful overnight stop such a truly pleasant 3 day experience . Read moreThis hotel is in a superb location by the beaches and easy walk to the marina and multitude of restaurants and bars without being too close!||Didn't see any owners at all as there were only young people manning the place and it was a pity there wasn't any snack bar open. I didn't see any shops nearby either to buy provisions. The ground floor room location with outside sitting area table and shade was great. To get into the shower would have been difficult for anyone portly as it was very narrow but generally the room was very comfortable. I thought the sandy area around the loungers could perhaps have swept or raked like the beach was every night. The beach was not the best one around as the sand was slightly discoloured but the sea was ok.||It is very easy to get around from the hotel by bus or car within easy location of many places. The hotel closes quite early and I didn't see much activity around the bar! ||The breakfast was the usual cold buffet breakfast with only boiled eggs on the hot side, but quite adequate unless you are looking for a big breakfast.||The lounging area was pleasant enough with a shower available but no pool.||I liked it and would stay...
