Gudauri Hut — Hotel in Mtskheta-Mtianeti

This hotel is in a ski resort amidst pretty Georgian mountain scenery. There are several floors and no elevator, so it's not suitable for guests who cannot climb stairs. Even if you stayed on the ground floor, the restaurant is downstairs. The room was clean, although there was no hot water when I tried to shower which was annoying. The room was a bit cold which is odd for a ski resort but as I was staying in summer the heating wasn't on. There was a range of breakfast items and a reasonable buffet dinner as well with a choice of several hot dishes and some cold items like bread, cheese and pastries. I think this place was run by a family, certainly the lovely friendly lady at reception seemd to be everywhere doing everything (and with a smile!)||Efficient check in. Winter ski resort so the only guests on the first night.||Good food in the downstairs restaurant along woth good wine and beer (also served by the same lady) Beer was double the price of the last hotel, I guess as a winter ski resort.||Depsite ebing on the 'truck route' to the Russian border which was constantly in use, the hotel was quiet.||Curtains weren't big enough for the windos though to keep the truck lights out.||Fantastic view when clear of...
