As a non skier I would say the ski resort is worth a visit as they offer very affordable price in Georgia in general. I had visited Ryuoo Ski Park in Japan, Innsbruck in Austria and La Clusaz in France. Those places of course offer sophisticated facilities but also come with higher cost. I visited Gudauri on the 20-25 dec 2019 and unfortunately there were no fresh snow, so no ski in/ out in the area for the beginner. My 4 & 7 years old boys had to take gudaura gondola up and walk back and forth for their ski lesson as the ski lift didn’t open. Also no snow tubing when the ski season is not officially open due to lack of snow. So yeah, that was the down side of not having the fresh snow around the date we were there. Facilities were quite okay, they have some nice restaurants around the ski resort. Our fave is Drunk Cherry, very cozy for family with kids. Note/ Tips: - There is only 1 (very basic) toilet on the upper ski level (one level up by gondola). - A small playground for young kids also located on the upper ski. - Check the weather forecast if you want to do sky paragliding (allocate 1-2 hours queuing time) - Buy extra ticket to go up to Kobi Point, the view is beautiful! - To go to Gudauri Ski Resort you may have to arrange shuttle/ take taxi as the area is not convenient to walk (small road with many trucks passing). - Accommodation around the ski gudauri resort are apartment blocks with one Radisson Blue Hotels under construction. I would recommend choosing accomodation in the outer ski resort. Yet again, don’t compare the accommodation with the ones in austria ;)

What can be said... It's a huge shame that such a beautiful place is managed and organised is such disgraceful way, with really bad attitude - there is a very thin line between being 'chilled' and 'not caring at all'. You're charged for something that is basically not provided. Gudauri itself is lovely. The view is amazing. The food is very tasty. However...prices this year are very close to European while service provided is far away from standards. Ski lifts are opening and closing as.. actually I have no bloody idea what's the rule behind. Out of 6 days of skiing they were closed 2,5 days, either because of 'strong winds' or lack of electricity. They say that ski lifts open at 10:00am - in 8 days I have never experienced it 🤷‍♂️ They advertise with more than 80km of ski trails.. But some of them are not opened , some of them are being opened once in a while. Same applies to the ski lifts. Food in the restaurants is as said very tasty however people working there treat you as a stranger and it seems like they're being punished for sth (except for Drunk Cherry - the staff there is amazing 😊). Even the toilet at the main gondola is charged with 2 GEL.. And it's uncovered hole in the ground 😢 To sum up, I believe this place has a lot of potential but things need to change or people will not come back. Maybe in few years, who knows 🤷‍♂️ I keep my fingers crossed as I really believe it can be a worthy place to visit.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Gudauri Ski Resort, and it surpassed all my expectations! From their sublime environment to the stellar service they provide, I can confidently say that Gudauri offers an edge above many other skiing locations. The skiing experience was indeed, remarkable. Whether you're a beginner like me or a seasoned pro, Gudauri facilitates everyone. The professional and wonderfully patient instructors guided me through all the initial challenges, and before I knew it, I was skiing like I had never done before. The Quard bike ride added another exciting layer to our adventure! Riding through the breathtaking landscapes was an uncontainably thrilling experience. It was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip. Another distinctive attribute of Gudauri that stood out was its close proximity to dining options. Several fantastic restaurants, offering a wide range of delectable cuisines, line near the resort. The convenience of having quality dining spots so close was a big win for us. Gudauri Ski Resort is a complete package to have a perfect winter holiday. I wholeheartedly recommend this resort for an unforgettable vacation. Promising a seamless blend of fun, relaxation, and adventure, I'm confident it will exceed your expectations—just like it did mine!
