An unforgettable ski and snow adventure in Gudauri, Georgia! 🏔️❄️
Gudauri is hands down one of the best ski destinations I’ve visited. The slopes are wide, the views are breathtaking, and the entire atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in a winter wonderland. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced skier, Gudauri has something for everyone.
✅ Ski Experience: The runs are long, smooth, and well-maintained. There’s also plenty of off-piste and freeride opportunities if you’re into adventure. Lifts are modern and the vertical drop gives you an amazing downhill thrill.
✅ Scenery: Snow-capped mountains and panoramic views everywhere you look. Absolutely picture-perfect, especially at sunrise and sunset.
✅ Affordability: Compared to European resorts, everything here is reasonably priced — lift passes, rentals, food, and accommodation. Great value for the quality you get.
✅ Hospitality: Georgian people are extremely warm and welcoming. The après-ski vibe is cozy and fun, with local cafes and restaurants serving delicious food.
✅ Halal Food Availability: Muslim travelers don’t need to worry — Gudauri has multiple halal food restaurants such as Bismillah Indian & Arabic Halal Restaurant, Spice Garden, Al Khaleej, and Taj Mahal. Many hotels nearby also provide halal-friendly options, making it easy to enjoy authentic and safe meals.
✅ Accessibility: Ski-in, ski-out accommodations make it easy to maximize your time on the slopes.
💡 Tips:
Best time to visit is January–March for great snow conditions.
Arrive early for lifts to avoid queues.
Dress in layers and don’t forget sunscreen — the mountain sun is strong!
Overall, Gudauri is the perfect spot for skiing, snowboarding, enjoying halal food, and soaking in the beauty of the Caucasus Mountains. Highly recommended for solo travelers, families, and groups of friends. I’ll definitely come back!

We visited this place three weeks ago, and it was a winter wonderland—the mountains and ground were completely covered in snow, making it perfect for snow activities like skiing, snowboarding, paragliding, and snow biking.
There are multiple cable cars available to take you to different activity sites, including the paragliding launch area. A day pass costs 70 Georgian Lari, and when you return the card, you get 5 Lari back. There are also multi-day pass options, and for kids under 12, the pass costs 35 Lari.
One of the cable cars goes to Kobi, a small town, but it’s mainly just a scenic ride with nothing special to do there.
At the main area, there are several food options, including coffee shops, fast food, and local cuisine. While there are hotels available at the resort, we preferred staying in Gudauri, where most hotels offer transport to the ski resort.
For snow activities, you can rent accessories from multiple shops on a daily or multi-day basis. Prices are reasonable, but you need to deposit your passport or a similar document for rental.
Overall, it was an amazing experience, and the resort offers affordable and well-maintained facilities for all kinds of winter sports enthusiasts. Highly...
Read moreBeautiful mountain scenery, great snow. All ruined by chronic alcoholism from locals (including some policemen) and tourists alike, creating a very dangerous skiing environment ( I avoided skiing after lunch from day 2). Non existent service, the ski rental businesses charge a premium for end of life gear that's seen already way too many rentals across the rest of Europe to end its life there, if you're lucky enough to be given the correct size... You will spend your time overpaying for less than average service. Let alone be talked to like a dog by everyone. I have seen way too many accidents on the slopes and had to take a drunk chinese tourist off the snow myself at 10.30 am. The police wouldn't do anything about it.... Another bad point is that I have seen unmanned ski lifts too often, people fall off while getting off and get stuck under chairlifts because nobody's here to slow it down at the top.... Go ski somewhere...
