As part of a nearly two-week travel journey throughout Germany in May/June 2024, my son and I stayed at Apart-Hotel FirstBoarding in Bayreuth for 1 night, and out of 6 other accommodations that we stayed at, this place was our favourite. Check-in was quick and easy with parking being at the parking garage on the lower floor of the hotel. Onsite services may be limited but they do include laundry service. The room was wonderful; spacious, clean, and well maintained. Our room offered a small kitchenette area and plenty of luggage/cloth storage areas. The bathroom was clean and bright. There was no shortage of lighting in the room. The beds were comfortable and clean. A short walk away is a grocery store (Lidl), drug store (DM) and a restaurant which is idea for breakfast. The hotel is a 25-minute walk to the central Marktplatz. I had no concerns with the walk as the neighbourhood seemed very safe. We experienced a very good sleep and enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend Apart-Hotel FirstBoarding especially if you intend on staying in Bayreuth for a few days or more given that the room offers a kitchenette. We had no issue with our stay, even the air condition worked fine. While this location is “a part hotel”, it may not offer all the onsite services of more expensive hotels such as onsite dining and lobby bar but for someone looking for affordability and cleanliness along with a comfortable stay in a room full of amenities, this place is ideal! Overall, central Bayreuth is a great place to visit, and this hotel is a great...
Read moreGood value for money, but with a bit of a cleanliness issue. Nice studio room on the first glance, however there were a few things that could be improved, mainly about cleaning and maintenance. Weird little white chips on the floor both in shower and toilet, cutlery not spotless, bit of banana peel from previous guest in the kitchen area. Would advise to provide a cutting board because the kitchen looked like people cut directly on the counter (not very hygienic) due to lack of it. Otherwise, the room was clean and spacious. Good location, only slightly outside the town centre, with a supermarket and bakery right across the street. Good price for the hotel's parking. For a night or two I would stay again, not for longer because some things like a hotel breakfast option or a restaurant just aren't there. Oh, and something people before me mentioned: lose the tip envelope if you leave everything to the guest (like no standard cleaning during the stay, guests having to order their own cab, ...). If you forego any basic hotel service, don't blatantly...
Read moreWe stayed in the First Boarding apartment for one night while passing through Bayreuth on the way to Berlin and were highly impressed. We hadn't expected anything much as the room was reasonably cheap compared to other hotels we had seen in the surrounding area. However, when we arrived, we were completely shocked by how nice it was.||||The was a modern kitchen with everything you would need, a large bathroom, separate toilet and large bedroom with seating and a desk. The staff were very friendly, especially when we were stuck as to where we were meant to park our car (we parked behind the hotel first of all as you have to use your key card to gain entrance into the car park under the building).||||The location was a short drive away from the main tourist area which is convenient. It is possible to walk there but as we were just passing through, we did not have time.||||If we are to go back to Bayreuth again, I would definitely stay here as you get so much value...
