Franz-Liszt-Museum — Attraction in Bayreuth

The staff is really nice, normal fare 2 eur and reduced is 1 eur, the small museum collects many stuff, but if you don't speak either German or French, don't come.

I saw one review below saying "have some dignity and dont leave a negative review here, you don't go here to notice youre not home". Thats not true - when we go abroad, we visit museum to learn smth we can't learn at home or from school, isn't that the meaning of a museum? "warm and nice" is for a cafe.

Despite my words above, the collections are worth the fare. But Id pay more if the museum team could spend some effort making this museum readable for non-German speakers (speaking of that, the Liszt museum in Budapest is...

Ein wunderbares Erlebnis für jeden Franz Liszt Verehrer. Das Museum ist klein und sehr gemütlich. Trotzdem gibt es dort sehr viel zu sehen und ich habe dort 1 1/2 Stunden verbracht. Die Dame am Empfang hat mich sehr freundlich empfangen und sich auch noch nach Feierabend für ein angenehmes Gespräch Zeit genommen. Das Museum ist schön strukturiert aufgebaut von der Kindheit bis zum Tod des Meisters. Während der Besichtigung liefen im Hintergrund die ganze Zeit seine wunderschönen Kompositionen.

Dieser Besuch war für mich ein Genuss für Geist und Seele, den ich nicht vergessen werde.

Bayreuth und das Museum werde ich bestimmt noch ein weiteres Mal besuchen.

Der Eintritt kostet nur 2 €. Es gibt außerdem sehr schöne Souvenirs, wie z. B. eine Büste, CD's, Bücher und Postkarten... Ich konnte nicht anders und musste mir als großer Verehrer des Meisters alle Souvenirs kaufen.
