It's pretty much everything one would expect from a hostel. I stayed there for roughly 6 days. The staff was nice and room were cleaned once the "Please clean my room" sign was up. Even if you have stuff on your bed, they'll put it aside, clean your bed and then put everything back nice and clean on your foot area. Key cards work fine and you will need one to get inside at pretty much every time of the day (except if you wait long enough for the staff to see you). For the towels you pay 3€ and a rental fee of 5€, which you will get back once you return them. Same goes for the Key cards which come around at 5€.
One minus for the cleaning lady barged in on us on our 2nd to last day. Also the shower was a bit of a mess with a broken shower head connector (which didn't affect the "showering experience but just looked bad) and flimsy doors with loose rubber things which are supposed to keep the water inside the shower. Also for some strange reasons, if you just try to increase the water "strength", without turning the knob, the water gets hotter which i thought was strange. Some areas like the top of the lockers still had stuff on them (looked like pieces of plastic from what i was able to see).
One big minus point for the hairdryers. DON'T GET ONE, RAHTER BRING YOUR OWN. You pay 10€ as a security, and they just malfunction in your hands. Had that happen to me twice. Made a weird clicking noise and started smoking out of nowhere. I'm glad that i was sitting next to the windows (which you can't fully open). Otherwise, it would have set off the fire alarm.
Location wise, it's not the best but also not the worst. The S-Bahn is only a couple of minutes away and also you'll find a lot of Lime and Tier scooters, as well as Uber and Lidl bikes there. Just make sure not to walk around for too long around the area. We've been asked a couple times if we were interested in buying drugs which doesn't really give you a feeling of safety.
Other than that, it's not too bad of a place to stay in, if you only need something to sleep. Sure some fixtures inside the elevator are fixed with what looked like electrical tape and the S-Bahn rolls in every 5 minutes, beeping and making all kind of weird noises, but for what we paid, i can't really complain too much.
EDIT: Completely forgot to mention that the WiFi didnt work. Out of 6 days, it only...
