A cleanliness standard is definitely not part of this place’s SOP. When we walked into our 4-bedroom apartment you can feel the stale air (normal, we are in the woods and the building is older). BUT as we started to wonder through the place I noticed things that were so nasty: floors not mopped, blood or poop on walls, SOOOO much dust under the sofa (unfortunately my son dropped their toy and we had to get it 🤮), and the bathroom had so much mold. I did not feel comfortable at all and wore my sandals in the shower. CONS: 1 washing machine for the ENTIRE property (perhaps you implement 1 in each zone), bar closes 10 minutes earlier than the posted time and the bartender is not very kind, pool has a VERY limited amount of seats/tables for the ENTIRE property (perhaps make ALL tables reserved for guests who pay for food), margin cost of food…hiked up! The prices are so high (and I’m from California where the sunshine tax is astronomical!), perhaps you make a one way zone during check in and checkout since drivers go faster than 15kmh and there are children on bikes. PROS: laser tag I’ve worked at hotels for 15years, and this is by far the worst I’ve experienced. As a travel agent I would NOT recommend this place.

The Bispinger Heide tropical park is a reasonable alternative to the larger and more visited ones. The water park was quite nice. The kids enjoyed all of the rides and it was far from overcrowded. None of them are extreme in any way and most go at a slow or medium pace. The market dome had some shopping and dining possibilities and there was a play land as well. The food is decent and there’s enough variety. The play land wasn’t much of a favorite for the kids. Not enough to do. The outdoor areas aren’t really anything special. There’s several activities that cost extra. The park is situated somewhat remotely so the evenings get very quiet - really only disturbed by the many loud birds (geese mainly) living in the area. It’s not allowed to have your car parked at your cottage. You’re allowed to unpack there, but you have to drive back to the parking at the entrance and leave the car there. Depending on where your cottage is, it might be an idea to get some alternative transportation along. From house 348 we had around a 10 minute walk to the attractions and 20 to the parking.

We went there during Easter with the kids, our friends and their kids (in total we had 2x 5yrs old, a 2 year old and a 1 year old) and everyone had a good time. There were a few more activities for the older kids to do (some included some paid), but the smaller ones also enjoyed aqua mundo for swimming the play areas and the outdoor space. The food in general was good, we went for the half board option which seemed like good value. Cottage is cosy, rooms are a bit small but overall nicely laid out and furnished. What would be great is some instructions on parking, checking in, checking out, breakfast and dinner times...and it's not always easy to get an answer. Some tips for booking... Try to book close to the market dome, it can be really far to walk, especially with tired kids. If you do stay far, you should rent some bicycles, maybe an ecar or a Bollerwagen. For us, the ecar was no longer available. Another thing would be to pre-book activities, they tend to be booked on the day.

We had a great stay and all the family enjoyed ourselves. The park is great with lots of activities to keep with children entertained. ||We didn’t find the food on site great so either ate in local restaurants (which were good) or cooked ourselves. ||A few things could have been improved. ||Laundry - there was one washing machine and one dryer for the entire Parc, THIS IS CRAZY! Visitors have children and need to do washing, you the park can charge for washing and it looks like is space to add more in the washing building. There is also no redundancy if one of the machines breaks. This lack of provision is really irritating, people want to spend their time relaxing on holiday not waiting for a washing machine… |There were also no irons available anywhere on site. I had to do a work Zoom call while away so it was frustrating not be be able to iron a shirt at all. ||The shower was blocked up with hair and gunk and so was flooding the bathroom. It would be great if the maintenance was improved and things like this was checked. ||Annoyingly some of the rooms didn’t have blackout blinds or shutters and so it was light every early in the morning which meant the children woke up early. This was disappointing and could easily be cheaply addressed to provide a better stay. ||The non stick pans in the kitchen were old and scratched and needed replacing, especially as this is a health risk. ||Lastly it was a bit frustrating being in the glorious countryside though being not too far from the A7 motorway there was background noise from the vehicles which was a pity. ||I hope the small issues that can be fixed will be improved as it would make it a better stay. ||Overall we enjoyed our time a lot and...

We stayed for a week, mainly in the hopes of my daughter picking up some German. The hotel rooms are fine for what you pay, and clean, although downstairs in the main hall, especially after breakfast, it could smell a bit weird. Towels don't smell nice either. The cottage houses look very dark, so I'm happy we stayed in the hotel instead. Car parking for a small additional amount per day at the hotel was great.||The main building is clean and bright, and the pool is nice for an hour or two a day. The main reason why I give two stars are the poor parrots in the small cage in the main building. Very animal unfriendly, and those parrots scream really loudly throughout the day. Their screamy noise is terrible, and I feel very bad for the poor parrots; they are clearly not happy.||The kid entertainment wannabe workshops are great, my daughter loved them. The other entertainment like the disco and bingo lacked energy. We expected more entertainment for kids (everyday, which was not the case), and with more variety and enthusiasm. The entertainer was really friendly, but I expected multiple entertainers and more interaction with the kids. The activities schedule in the app did not always match the actual schedule, and one of the wannabe workshops was cancelled due to insufficient materials. So overall the entertainment program was a bit of a disappointment, although the staff was really nice.||Food was what you can expect for a budget hotel/resort. None of the restaurants had great quality food, but we we're happy with the vegetarian/vegan variety/options. Waiting lines can be crazy at the restaurants though, and especially at the bakery.||My daughter loved the stay, I wouldn't book...

I don’t think this place deserves any star. I am so disappointed. The indoor so cold Tropical Oasis. Is so so cold. All of our kids had blues lips within 1/2h. The water was cold and so uncomfortable. It goes into your bones. You just want to leave as soon as you get there. No really comfortable chill area’s. Only sitting chairs. Even the kids pool is just barely warm. Staff is super unfriendly. It seems like they don’t even want to do their job. Really rude and not helpful at all. Our 4 person VIP guesthouse was so cold. The heaters don’t get really hot. Even thought they are at maximum heat. Only one bathroom just at the entrance door with no heat in it. Nobody wants to get up in the middle of the night to go into that ice box to pie. It was absolutely clean and cute the master bedrooms both really nice. But not bathrooms in it. I just don’t understand architects, who design these kind of family oriented houses. Why is there no bathroom in the bathrooms were the bedrooms are? A treat are the fresh rolls every morning, but they just make up for all the negative things. The indoor play area, everything cost extra. The car rides, the trampoline. It’s insanely expensive and also very cold and uncomfortable to be sitting indoors all bundled up. My first time for me, but my sister had been at Centre Parc couple of times prior. Not something I ll spend my money on, if I can travel somewhere all inclusive flight/ and hotel/ food. Totally over priced and not worth it. It’s bad enough already during Winter months, that’s it’s wet and cold outside. By the time we leave this place all of the kids are coughing and going home with a...
