Save yourself the trouble and avoid this hotel at all costs. They are scammers who will not hesitate to rip you off. I had a terrible experience dealing with the property, and like other reviews have mentioned, they refuse to work with their guests no matter what.
I rarely write negative reviews, but this place deserves it. They scammed me out of $100, and when I reached out to explain the mistake, they gave me the runaround and refused to help. I had accidentally booked the same room twice. I messaged the property immediately (within seconds) to explain the situation, but they took hours to respond with broken English, saying that they couldn't do anything to help me.
Dealing with them in person was even worse. I kindly suggested that they simply push the duplicate reservation to a different day, but they wouldn't budge. They were solely interested in getting as much money as possible for as little effort as possible. When I persisted, they told me a lie that the owner would personally review the situation the next day, but that was just a trick to get me to leave. The owner never reviewed the situation, and they stealthily cancelled my reservation without saying anything to me, probably so I wouldn't be able to write a review.
And just to be clear, the place was eerily empty, so there was zero chance my duplicate reservation affected their...
Read moreThe hotel is located in the district Bergen Enkheim of Frankfurt. The hotel itself looks not that old, even it is already old. The room where I stayed was renovated and looked acceptable. A bit small, but for one night enough. The room was clean and located towards the front of the hotel. Open the window is due to the traffic not possible. The equipment of the rooms are very simple. I had a single room, so there was a single bed inside. Not very comfortable. The employees of the hotel are very nice and friendly.||The hotel breakfast is acceptable, but 9,50 € is exploitation. And the morning when I stayed in the hotel they even run out of eggs, which should not happen to a hotel with such high prices for breakfast. The quality of the breakfast is acceptable.||The location of the hotel is quiet good. Within walking distance you can find a lot of shops. The so-called Hessen-Center is not far away and a nice location for shopping. There is furthermore a tram line close to the hotel. I'm just not aware, where it goes to, because I didn't use it (was by car).||All in all the hotel is recommendable and for a short stay it is a good and nice location to explore Frankfurt. Just the price performance ratio is not good, due to the...
Read moreSuper affordable, so for the rest of the review keep in mind that’s what it’s mainly based on.
Shower is probably the nicest in terms of water pressure, even versus some of the fancier hotels I’ve stayed at in the past. The front desk understood English but wanted to speak German which was fine, when he realized I didn’t understand him he took me to the key box (no staff after hours, you have to use the back door) and was a nice/helpful guy. Might be considered kind of weird or “unprofessional” to some guests.
Walls are kind of thin and all the other perks of staying at essentially a motel. Elevator’s tiny. Parking was easy and (relatively) cheap. Beds are nothing fancy but slightly above average Airbnb quality. The place was clean. Room is pretty small but I’d say “standard” for Europe.
Nice area with a lot of stores and public transport nearby.
For its price it’s 5 stars from me, but if we’re comparing it to other hotels at 5-10x the cost then it’d be 3 stars. This is probably the nicest hotel per dollar spent (that I’ve been to...
