Schurwald Hotel — Hotel in Gemeindeverwaltungsverband Plochingen

My daughter and I stayed at the Schurwald for a short Christmas mini-break to visit markets and experience Southern Germany. |The hotel was simple, comfortable and pleasant. The photographs on booking.com are misleading, we thought we were staying in a traditional building but in fact it is quite modern. Nestled inbetween shops on the high street. It has a really convenient location within easy walking distance of the train station. From the hotel dining area you have sight of the architecturally interesting social housing development that is reminiscent of Gaudi. Right opposite a pub but no noise.|The room was comfortable, light and spacious, beds were comfortable and there was a tv in the room. The breakfast was varied, plentiful and hot. There is a free-vend good quality hot drinks machine residents are free to use. The showers were very powerful and hot. Staff pleasant and spoke enough English and we German to understand each other.|Criticisms - no evening meal available in the hotel. No kettle in the room. There is a fridge, but you had to request items with a preorder price list rather than taking what you need as...

We booked this hotel as it was one of the last available for a World Cup match. It is quite a way out of Stuttgart and takes about 35 minutes by train, or 20 minutes if you get the express (advisable!). It's at the end of one of the train lines (Plochingen), but only a few stops from the Mercedes Benz Museum and the Stadium.||Plochingen is a nice little town with friendly people and a nice feel about it. The hotel is clean and the rooms quite spacious and they provide a nice buffet breakfast (continental). There was no air conditioning which would have been nice as it was quite hot in June, but the apartments do not get that hot. We had a little trouble finding it at first, but a local lady got out of her car to show us where it was!!||It's a great hotel for a relaxing stay, but perhaps a ltitle far out if you're keen to see as much as possible in as little time...

Я не привереда. Ночевала в хостелах на окраине Берлина, жила в Амстердаме в номере, где чтобы вышел один человек, второму приходилось садиться на кровать, ибо, чтобы открыть дверь, места не было. Сталкивалась и с тем, что персонал врывался в номер, хоть и была табличка не беспокоить, а я чуть ли не голая посреди комнаты вещи собирала... Это я к чему. Этот отель превзошел сам себя.||Персонал очень милый и отзывчивый. Расположение - неплохое, близко к вокзалу и супермаркет в 1 минуте ходьбы. Булочные, кафе и рестораны тоже под боком, все-таки отель в центре пешеходной зоны. Но это абсолютно все плюсы отеля.||||МИНУСЫ: дикая грязь. Буду честной: мой унитаз был грязным, когда я въехала. Серьезно. Благо с собой был дезинфектор для рук, я хоть обработала его...||Вот представьте: я весь день в пути, в поезде 5 часов, потом занятия (я студентка), потом кое-как к 9 вечера добралась до номера... Сначала я не обратила внимание на его состояние. Но когда начала приходить в себя от усталости... Желтые потеки на стенах. Пол! Мне было противно ходить по нему без обуви. Простыни ПРОТЕРТЫЕ! Между ночным столиком и кроватью вообще непонятно что. Может кто-то знает, что это (фото прилагаются). По состоянию номера было видно, что там даже ни разу не пылесосили за постояльцами. ||В ванной нет даже мыла для рук... А на полу валялся мусор. К сожалению, всю это красоту я обнаружила после 11 вечера, когда на рецепшене (а для особых любителей русского - на вахте) уже никого не было... ||||Знаете, с ценой в 74 евро за ночь......
