We stayed at the Hotel Krone while visiting a friend for the weekend. We booked the two room apartment which was across the street from the main hotel. The room that we had was newly renovated and very clean and spacious. The layout was somewhat odd, as one single bed was in the entry hall, but the main bedroom was really large, with a large bed, a small table and room for a baby bed. The bathroom was also really spacious and clean (probably because it is quite new) and had a heated towel rack. ||We didn't have breakfast as it wasn't included in our room rate. But there is a bakery just steps from the hotel. ||The parking was free and we didn't have any issues finding a spot in the back of the main hotel. ||The staff was really nice and offered to help us with our bags. They also walked us over to our room, since it was across the street. ||I guess we were lucky that our room was one of the newer ones. A friend stayed at the Hotel Krone another time and I saw that her room, while clean, looked like it was from the 1980s. I probably wouldn't pay so much for one of the older rooms, but I guess the updated apartments are nice. We did notice, however, that we could hear our neighbors very well... Maybe next time they could include some more sound proofing in the walls and ceilings! ||I wouldn't mind staying in the apartments again if visiting Gerlingen, but I'm not sure I'd want to pay 100+ euros per night for one of the...
Read moreThe front desk service is not too the standard, not good professionals. I have plenty of hotel experience around the world as a business traveler. I have never experienced as such a cold and don't ask me kind of attitude from the front desk staffs. To make things worst , when i checked my credit card statement once i left the country, i realized that i was actually charged twice for one of the nights, and funny enough they didn't want to refund for that night. when i called and asked the reason , they said i should have returned the room key on one of the mornings because they needed to change my room, which is an absolute nonsense . Of course , i am going to take legal actions (not for the money but for moral reason) . I am so disgusted by their...
Read moreWe stayed here for one night on a drive back from Italy. The hotel is in the middle of the town and not very easy to find, although our stay coincided with a festival that made things more difficult than usual. The reception was very helpful, advising us on places to eat that evening. There are some good choices for food nearby. The hotel restaurant was closed when we were there. Our room was quite large, clean and well presented. It was unusually warm and there is no air conditioning in the room we had but it was quiet enough at night to open the window for some cooler air. There is parking available at the back of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent with...
