Kevelaer is a quaint little typical german town. Ok to visit as a afternoon stop en route to Duisburg par example with plenty of places to eat.|Hotel klostergarten neither has the feel of a hotel nor any connection with the 'garten'. The building feels like the housing for the elderly most parts of it are actually used for. The hotel-bit is stuck in between on the first floor. Even the staff look more like hospital than hotel staff. Granted, the rooms are modern, tidy, well kept, spacious and clean. But the garten is no where to be seen, a couple of housing blocks and the builidings waste area are what we got stuck with.|The rooms have no airco (in blistering 33oC), just a very noisy ventilator in the bathroom, a poor, unstable WiFi, a decent TV with limited (2) non german channels. |As for the beds, they are really firm with extremely soft pillows. Only bad thing was that reception was closed at my arrival (on sunday around 19.00) and they left me my key inside a box with a code to insert on the doorphone outside the building. It took a while to understand how it worked. In the end another guest who was coming back helped me to go inside. I think this was pretty weird. Anyway I suggest this...
