Hotel Gartenhof — Hotel in Mühlheim am Main

Stayed at the Gartenhof as part of a short weekend break in Frankfurt, the hotel is appox 11 miles from the city but has a train station 5 mins walk from the hotel and this will get you to the city center in 20 mins at a cost of appox 9 euros so easy. When we arrived we were greeted by Alex the receptionist who was so friendly and helpful.||Our room was basic but totally adequate for our stay and spotlessly clean shower and bath first class and there was never a problem with the water temperature. there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room nor is there a safe but the storage space is very good and the WiFi in the room was fantastic never a connection problem. While this was a last minute booking during a show in Frankfurt it was one of the remaining few places on the periphery which offered rooms at rates that were not ludicrous. The room was very small with a single bed on the most basic level but other than that flawless. The town itself has nothing to offer but you can walk to the local station and catch a train into Frankfurt which will get you there in about 20 or so minutes. Breakfast was ok too, so this is a viable last minute option if you have business in Frankfurt with no places to stay in the city itself. free parking...

Modest hotel in Mühlheim located very near to S-bahn into Frankfurt. Basic, but impeccably clean and good value. Excellent breakfast at added cost. Wifi was a mite iffy and traffic noise could be an issue. Our main issue was that we had not been provided with the access code to the outside lock and the reception hours are limited. Apparently that is a fairly regular occurrence according to the kind neighbor lady who bailed us out by phoning around. No excuse as we had advised of our arrival time well in advance.
