Horrible Experience!!! I am a Hilton Honors member for almost 2 decades and I travel international for work in US, EU, Asia and ME and this is by far the WORST! The only reason I left one star is probably for the breakfast staff who are courteous and work very hard, and the reception manager lady who tried to help when she was on shift.. Firstly I traveled for work this time with kids booked two rooms for almost a week, arrived on a Friday afternoon and asked for connecting rooms- apparently that was impossible due to busy season according to the reception staff "Martin"... when we checked online on hilton app there were two rooms side by side just fine from the room numbers that was given. Nvm that part, rooms were in same corner so kids could still walk between two rooms so didn't complain. Next we find out there is no internet- I am an international traveler and rely on wifi and Hilton doesn't have Internet?? When I asked when will it be resolved it didn't- for almost 72 hrs!!! Oh by the way it was the weekend of a taylor swift concert, and my phone shows for conectivity diagnosis that the "ethernet modem is unplugged, contact adminstrator". I am 100% sure this branch unplugs ethernet on purpose, please read other people's review below from the past because it always happens on a nice busy eventful weekend in Munich. Anyhow I was planning to checkout hotel earlier as I had to get internet (I didnt see why will I pay over USD 400/night for two rooms and had to hunt down for cafes with internet). However, reception manager was courteous- she tried to help by giving points, did a decent negotiation, and gave 50% discount for dinner at their restaurant. The internet eventually resolves with the end of the swift concert (magic) and things quieten down okay as weekend tourists leave by Monday. I go down on a weekday 6pm to obtain my coupon or 50% discount for dinner and find "Martin" back again to reception who says there is nothing on file of that sort and they dont do that kind of thing (really that is the tone this young gentleman gives), so I ask him if his manager was around as she helped us last time, and he says no she will arrive next night and he is alone all night- I asked him if he is alone all night and he says no another person will join him at 11pm. We eventually go outside for dinner return at lobby ~8pm abd we find a second gentle man along with "Martin" at reception on shift. Within three nights we the attitude and the unecessary problems of a hotel had gotten to us as a family with two young children. We had to call the US toll and leave customer feedback a long complaint who says they will add a note to the manager of the branch, but I doubt if that changes anything- All these problems I have mentioned are common issues from many google reviews that you will find here from other travelers. The last straw to me as a parent is to find this unclean drawer in the room where my kids were staying (please refer to picture)- I think I totally lost it at this point. I do not beleive any complaints we make to the receptionists will change anything. Please stay away from this place and save your...
Read moreIt is a HORROR story !!! The temperature in the room was extremely high ... after complaining a first time, they offered to send a technician to check and fix … they said that they did so, while I was out … nothing changed, and I had very hard time sleeping … when I complained the next day, they said it probably is a problem with that room and offered that I move to another room … it is a real pain, but I did … still, the room was also very warm … when I complained a second time, they explained that I had to close the windows (which I had opened to get cool air in) for the AC to work (even hotels in Mexico write this clearly on their windows) … but, for this hotel, it is a BIG SECRET … I then closed the window, still nothing changed, and I had to suffer through the second night … I then complained for a third time … only then they explained that they CAN CONTROL the temperature of each room independently !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They then said that they lowered the minimum that the AC can reach … and asked me to set the control in the room to the lowest temperature …. they explained that the room may cool off in an hour (basically, the AC is NO GOOD) …. even that did NOT work ... more than an hour has passed, and nothing changed .... the last funny thing about this AC story, is that the control in the room only allows you to adjust the temperature within 3 degrees only !!!!!!!!!!!! the entire AC system is messed up, and the entire attitude and how it was handled by the personnel has nothing to do with the Hilton brand (all this, and I am a Hilton Honors member) …. DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL !!!!!!!!!!!!
PART 2: "Are you F* Kid**G Me" .... this is what "Peter" the person at the reception told me and another customer who was complaining about the same thing - the temperature in the room is very high ... the other customer was also complaining that the shower in his room was not working ... Peter and his other colleague at the reception (Patrick) did not seem to care or willing to do anything about it .... We asked for the Resident Manager, and were told that there were none ... there was a sign on the wall indicating the name of the manager as being Renata Sebok ... we were told that this person is not there at night ... in summary, BAD EXPERIENCE ... no more Hilton from now on for me ....
Should...
Read morethe worst ever hotel and room I’ve got for business trips. The rooms are dusty and they don’t know what allergy-free rooms mean. Luckily I bought myself some counter-allergy pills so that I can still be alive tomorrow.
I read the other reviews and regret that I didn’t look through google before I went. It seems that uncleanliness and the internet are the problems that live forever. They are not changing it because they don’t care. The bedsheets are still dirty and with stains. Although they have good attitudes—always apologizing, they always say they can not help anything. I even asked them for a new CLEAN and WASHED one so that I can change it myself, they asked me to get one from another room, which I don’t know if it’s with cleaned bedsheets 🥶 horrible. I wonder if they cleaned the room for real regularly and after people checking-out, since I still don’t know what the stains on the bedsheet with which I have to bear with over this night. Very disappointed. I would suggest bringing your own bedsheets if you wanna stay at this hotel.
The internet is also very slow. They apologize again and with the answer that they cannot do anything for that. The telephone in the room is not going through so that I cannot call the reception but go downstairs.
I never stayed in a hotel with so many problems. Also one story, the first given room was sooo dusty and with so many stains on the carpet, so the housekeeping came to clean. It ended up with 4 people, including me, jamming together in the small room and they were cleaning. I felt so uncomfortable and then went downstairs.
I’ll take my counter-allergy pill with full clothes covered when sleeping. Hopefully I won’t get any diseases from the used bedsheets from other people. Quite risky actually when people stay in this hotel...
