If you visit the Deutsches Museum Verkehrzentrum or Oktoberfest/Christmas market, you can also make a quick stop to see this staircase.

At the moment you cannot climb them due to corona restrictions.

The endless staircase is called Umschreibung which is the German word for ‘circumscription’ or ‘periphrasis’. The sculpture was finished in 2004 by Olafur Eliasson.

This is a free attraction that compliments the buildings around it so very well. The stairs are mesmerizing and you'll want to climb them. However, DO NOT CLIMB THE STAIRS! The entire staircase wobbles and is not made to be walked on. You could be seriously hurt, or worse, ruin the installation for everyone else. See my photos for silly people that tried walking in it, got scared by the swaying...
