I am writing this email share our grievances for our stay at your property on given dates. Our experience during entire Germany trip has been great except Munich hotel stay. We are checking out tomorrow to head to our next destination in Black forest but it’s important to highlight to you ( I am hoping this email account is managed by general manager). We felt we were treated unfairly for money that we paid ( 175 euros per night).
Our experience was nothing but disappointment. We stayed in Germany for total 16 days . Stay at this property was 3rd stay after staying 5 nights each stay at Novotel Frankfurt and holiday inn Berlin before checking inn here. Reception staff is not very friendly and lacks basic amenities / services like regular room cleaning and basic things like availability of iron. 2.Room cleaning is not done until we insist by asking at reception. Since we had 3 year old baby with us , we wanted to made sure room is cleaned regularly and diapers are cleared on daily basis. On 25th September, in spite of asking multiple times at reception and front desk confirming to us about cleaning, we were really disappointed to discover that neither cleaning is done nor towels are replaced. When we ask at front desk for cleaning, we get awkward look as if we asking for a special favour.
When we wanted to have breakfast , we were told to pay in advance as per hotel policy) but what was unpleasant was that duty manager dint allow us to enter the breakfast area until payment was made. I had requested my wife and 3 year old son to allowed to enter and start breakfast while make payment at reception but manager was extremely rude and adamant on payment being done before entry is granted. He did see that my baby was cranky and hungry but still was adamant on following so called “HOTEL POLICY” . It took 15 mins to make payment due to morning check inn rush at reception. Basic items like iron and iron board was not provided in spite of asking multiple times (morning and night) , every time we were told that it is not available. I fail to understand why such basic items are not made available for 12 hours. Also what’s unusual here and something that we managed with during our stay 1. Rooms (standard rooms as told by front desk) do not have air conditioners 2. Pay deposit of 20 euros 💶 as deposit to get things things like Kettle and iron . We received kettle by paying deposit after multiple visits to front desk but iron wasn’t made available
Also note that Front desk staff (especially Female staff in morning shift ) in are extremely unfriendly , we are not sure if they are same to all guests or they were unfriendly to us because of our skin...
