Restaurant Kaminstube is a cozy, traditional restaurant located in the basement of a hotel, offering a warm Bavarian atmosphere with classic wooden decor.

The food was well-prepared and flavorful. We tried several dishes including grilled sausages with sauerkraut, fried fish fillet with potato salad, and a pork steak with roasted potatoes — all of them were satisfying and came in generous portions. The Franziskaner Weissbier was a perfect match for the hearty meals, and the digestif (schnapps) served at the end was a nice local touch.

The service was polite and efficient, with the staff making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Wir waren an einem Donnerstagabend zum Essen auf der Terrasse. Generell sollte man beachten, dass Umbuchungen der Bestellung 1,50€ Aufpreis kosten. Bedeutet, wenn man statt Bandnudeln normale Spagetti möchte, zahlt man dafür 1,50€ Aufpreis, was ich sehr dreist finde im Verhältnis zu den Preisen! Ein Curry kostet knapp 20€ und Bandnudeln mit Basilikumpesto knapp 16€. Wir hatten ebendiese Bandnudeln mit Pesto. Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass die Portionen wirklich groß und reichlich waren, aber das wars leider auch an positiven Punkten.

Geschmeckt hat es leider gar nicht. Es hat sowohl an Salz als auch generell an Gewürzen gefehlt. Als hätte man nur ein Glas Pesto aufgemacht und über die Nudeln gegeben und für 16€ verkauft. Das Essen war innerhalb von 5min fertig, was darauf deuten lässt, dass die Zutaten nicht frisch sind bzw. das Essen nicht frisch zubereitet wurde. Man erhofft sich doch als Kunde eigentlich etwas anderes bei so hohen Preisen. Diese sind leider überhaupt nicht gerechtfertigt.

Das Ambiente war leider schon sehr alt und heruntergekommen auch das Besteck und Gedeck hatte viele Macken und sah schon sehr benutzt aus. Könnte man gerne nach einigen Jahren und sichtbaren Gebrauchsspuren austauschen.

Es wurde vom Servicepersonal nicht gefragt ob das Essen schmeckt oder ob alles passt. Auch auf die Frage nach dem 1,50€ Aufpreis und dass der sehr ungewöhnlich ist gab es nur ein Schulterzucken.

Für den Preis kann man in München definitiv besser essen gehen !!!!...

Good food. Good value for money. Warmly decorated dining area, wooden furniture mostly. We stayed in the near for nearly a week and went to Kaminstube a few times to eat for the evening meal.
