We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the "Messe" or Conference Centre. All in all everything was okay, just we had a problem with the noise levels. The walls are very thin, and the rooms are definitely not sound-proof. One can hear every word clearly from talking guests walking along the passages, or laughter from people outside. If the hotel is busy or full, then there's no peaceful night's sleep for you, sorry, especially if your room is next to the lift/elevator. This area is also where Housekeeping places their trollies, buckets etc. One morning we were woken by a non-stop conversation just outside our door, and when we looked, there were two ladies sitting opposite each other on the chairs next to the lift. They were from Housekeeping. This was around 8:30am. The next morning we hoped for a sleep-in, at least until 9am, but it was not to be. Housekeeping were vacuuming the room next to or opposite to ours, with the door open and hitting/banging the vacuum cleaner against the walls...very very loud. This was way before 8:00am!! After a restless and noisy night, this was just the cherry on the top. A "Do-not-Disturb" sign hanging outside your door is useless...||Our room was big enough for two people, and clean, but could have done with a bit of airing. Beds were comfy and bathroom tidy and fresh. The buffet breakfast had everything we liked and the hot/cold foods were always topped up regularly. The price of 10 euros per person is justified. The breakfast room has a lovely atmosphere too. ||The staff were very friendly...

Read moreOur son was a competitor in the Challenge Roth triathlon, and he made reservations for our stay at the Arvena Messe that weekend, at a reasonable price (especially given the demand for rooms that weekend). The hotel is clean and well managed with a friendly and helpful staff.|| ||It is within walking distance of the subway, though it might be a challenge for someone with mobility issues.|| ||The room was nicely laid out, on the cozy side but not cramped. We were glad to see the in-room safe, which we used while at the race. It was also nice to have the refrigerator available for use. The main window overlooked a side street and a park or playground on the other side. We didn't have any trouble with night noises but we were travel-weary and got up early for each days activities.|| ||The beds were comfortable with firm support - great after a day of race-following and cheering. The duvets were a bit warm for the summer temperatures, but the air-conditioning took care of that. || ||The bathroom was a good size with a nice shower. We appreciated the roominess.||The other thing we enjoyed was the free internet access, which was fairly quick and responsive when we were using it.|| ||We enjoyed the Arvena Messe Hotel, and would gladly stay there again when...
