PRIMOTEL — Hotel in Schkeuditz

It was clean and a great price during an event filled weekend. There is a bus line that works if you aren't interested in the nightlife, but it's very much for motorists. The rooms are spartan and value oriented, but fine for me.

That being said, it's 2022 and the WIFI situation is just not okay. I'm on an international plan with very low speed data so that was a big deal. No internet in the room is a big demerit in my book. Even when sitting outside or the lobby, it's weak. That's my entertainment basically being inaccessible and planning taking way longer than it should because I'm on 2G.

If you don't have a car, Google Maps will say you have to walk around the whole "block." But you can actually basically cut across the corn field from the bus stop and it makes this it...

The drama already started when we arrived. They overbooked which means we had to give up 2 of our 4 rooms. This resulted we had not enough beds for us al. They said they would fix it for the night but they didn’t. One of us had to sleep on the floor! Terrible service! Then the rooms: They were dirty and the beds are very minimalistic. The mattress and pillow are very thin and the bed is made out of a wooden board. The bathroom is VERY minimalistic and small and everything is made out of plastic. The towels were also dirty. The location is also not ideal for metro or train, only for car. I know it’s a cheap place to stay but I have never been this...

Ich reise viel – und günstig. Meine Ansprüche an Unterkünfte sind daher eher bescheiden. Luxus erwarte ich nicht, nur ein Mindestmaß an Sauberkeit und Funktionalität. Doch was ich in diesem Hotel erlebt habe, sprengte selbst meine großzügig gesetzte Schmerzgrenze.

In einem angeblich gereinigten Zimmer lag auf meinem angeblich frisch gemachten Bett eine feuchte, zusammengeknickte Badematte. Ein echter Willkommensgruß der besonderen Art. Die Toilette? Dreckig. Nicht „ein bisschen übersehen“, sondern grundlegend ungepflegt.

Nach meiner Beschwerde an der Rezeption bekam ich ein anderes Zimmer. Leider wurde mir damit nur noch deutlicher: Hier ist der Zustand offenbar kein Ausrutscher – hier ist er Standard.

Besonders idyllisch: Im Erdgeschoss stapelten sich tagelang Müllsäcke voller dreckiger Wäsche – ein ästhetisches Highlight für jeden Gast auf dem Weg zum Frühstück.

Vieles sah kaputt aus oder war einfach schmutzig. Doch was mich wirklich empört hat, war die Beobachtung, dass ein Kind oder sehr junger Teenager hat die Zimmer staubgesaugt, während daneben eine Frau die Bettwäsche wechselte.

Kurz gesagt: Ich kann diese Unterkunft niemandem mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen – außer man möchte herausfinden, wie sich totale Verwahrlosung in Hotel-Form anfühlt. Für mich ist klar: Einmal...
