Best Western Hotel The K — Hotel in Unterföhring

The K is located perfectly for the Unterfoering business park, with plenty of local bus services, and 1km walk from the S8 station, with connections to both the airport and central Munich.

The hotel public areas and rooms are spotlessly clean, and follow a contemporary design. Beds are very comfortable. (If you're one of those folks who gets upset that there is no iron/board in the room, or that there's only a multipurpose soap/shampoo on the wall instead of individual miniature soap/shampoo/conditioners - well, this may not be the place for you).

Staff are pleasant and helpful.

The hotel has a small, well-stocked bar. Breakfast is quite basic, but more than adequate. No lunch/evening meal is served - but a small selection of pizzas is available during the day. However, the excellent Schroders restaurant is just next door, and there are other options nearby (including a café in the supermarket next door).

The fitness room has only one treadmill and a crosstrainer. The weights station was out of commission at the time of my visit.

There is apparently a rooftop bar, but it's only open during the summer months.

If you need to visit any of the tech/media companies in the Unterfoering area, this is great...

My cousin celebrated his birthday in the hotel and had chosen the hotel especially because of its big roof terrace. Although there was no thunderstorm on the evening of his birthday, we were spontaneously denied the party on the roof terrace and had to move to the breakfast room. The buffet was well filled at the beginning, but after a short time some food went out. When we went to the roof terrace at a later hour, we were refused the service upstairs. Instead, the service staff helped themselves to our drinks and said that they had already quit anyway. One of our guests was locked up in the toilet, as the hotel decided that we were no longer allowed to use the toilet in the upper part (7th/6th floor), but should go to the basement. We also had to bring the birthday cake ourselves to the roof terrace and take care of the dishes, glasses and drinks. Nevertheless after the celebration my cousin was charged the full service costs and the responsible persons of the hotel showed themselves absolutely unreasonable and remained stubborn. Basically, the hotel doesn't seem to be particularly interested in giving its customers the best possible experience, but wants to keep its own expenses as low...

I recently had the pleasure of staying here, and I can't express enough how incredible my experience was! From the moment I arrived, I was treated with such warmth and professionalism that I knew I was in for a special stay.

Whether it was helping with my reservations, offering fantastic local recommendations, or just greeting me with a smile each day, you made me feel right at home.
