Black Forest Suites — Hotel in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Achern

One star due to the unresolved issue with the heating. We were paying 110 euros per night to have heating in the room with an air conditioner that couldn't be set to heat above 20 degrees, while it was -5 degrees outside. The issue was reported, and for three days, they kept lying to us that someone would come to check the problem, only to finally tell us that the technician would come on Monday, while we were leaving the room on Sunday – what irony. So, if you're planning to visit during winter, I wouldn't recommend it, as you'll freeze just like we did. Additionally, while we were there, the electricity and internet went out twice. Since all the doors in the building are automated and open through an app, we couldn't leave the garage because nothing was working as a result. We had 2 rooms booked at the Black Forest Suites for 4 nights while we toured around the different areas of the Black Forest. The rooms are new and spacious. Fairly outfitted with the essentials, a couple extra dishwashing tabs wouldn’t hurt, also a dish drying towel would be handy. The Wewash laundry facility needs to be clearly labeled, as there are 2 different locations for the same building. The one thing that can be worked on is the check in process. It makes sense to be self check in but the instructions could be a little more clear. Also we wondered what would happen if there was a power outage, would the doors to the suite be able to open, not sure if there is a power backup for this.
