Edits to response to the host: We did book the option of free cancelation that was offered on the website until a few days before. We did have insurance, unfortuntaly this event wasn't covered by the insurane since the flight was canceled due to Iran launching more than 300 missiles towards Israel! This is not something that happens every day. I contacted you right away and didn't "just cancle" but you offered no option, not a discount for a future stay or nothing. I checked the specific unit in the days after we were supposed to arrive but it was not available and you didn't even respond to the request from Booking. You could have offered to give even a partial refund for us not using the electricity, water, no need to clean the unit etc. as well as the tourism Tax that you should not have collected if we haven't visited.

Original post: Our flight was canceled so we couldn't make the trip. We asked the property if they could refund the money or give it as a credit for a future stay but they refused saying it's a too short notice for them to rent our unit, which was disappointing but understandable. But then later we found out that they did manage to rent the unit so we asked again but they still refused to give any kind of refund. They person we were corresponding with was unpleasant and was hard to get him to respond and also "blamed" us for not having travel insurance even though we did have travel insurance but unfortunately the insurance doesn't cover the events that led to our flight cancelation. We also tried via Booking.com but they said they could not get a response...

We stayed for a week during June 2024. The parking garage was very convenient and had an elevator to the second floor where our apartment H9 was. The building itself was clean and accessible. The apartment was clean and well equipped with everything we needed and we were positively surprised that during our stay they even cleaned it once and changed the towels. The only downside (because of which I rated only 4 stars) is the credibility of the owners - when I booked the apartment, it was stated in the offer I received that the apartment had two toilettes (which was important for us since we were 5 persons) but when we arrived we found only one. I checked with the owners and they said there was a mistake in the offer, without proposing me any alternative. Only when I asked for a solution a day after, they proposed me another apartment in Titisee but we decided not to take it because it was too complicated to pack everything and move to a different place that requires a drive. I could book other similar apartments with two toilettes at the same price and it is a shame that the owners didn't take this issue too seriously, so I recommend everyone to not rely on the offer and make sure to ask all the questions about the apartment before making the reservation...

Highly recommended, especially for families! The apartments are spacious, very well equipped, and each comes with its own parking space, which is extremely convenient.

The kitchen has everything you need for cooking — all the necessary cookware and utensils are provided, making it easy to prepare family meals. The rooms are super clean, well maintained, and feel fresh and comfortable.

The location is excellent for families planning a star trip to the Schwarzwald (Black Forest). It’s a perfect base for day trips around the region, and having a fully equipped apartment makes traveling with kids much easier.
