We (family of four - two teenagers) have family in Weissenhorn so we end up there a couple of times a year at least. The little town is growing and some very nice restaurant options have opened up (will save those for other reviews). Along with the restaurants have come some new hotels and the RiKu is the best of them.||The RiKu is a budget hotel. The rooms and service are no frills. That said it is one of the best budget hotels I have stayed at. The rooms are spacious, well lit, well appointed and most importantly clean and quiet. The RiKu is attached to one of the aforementioned new restaurants so while it lacks any type of bar or restaurant you can get to one in a few short steps (indoors no less). ||The staff is okay. Perfunctory. They check you in with a minimum of fuss. That said they are not quite 'welcoming’ either. So not the best but not a big enough factor to dock them a full star.||The internet access at the hotel has gotten much better.||The hotel's location is right in the central of Weissenhorn's main shopping area (still not much) and as such is close to everything. Even the train station is only a ten minute walk. Speaking of this the new train from Ulm to Weissenhorn makes getting into the ‘big’ city of Ulm easy, quick and cheap. ||One thing I should add is that this is not a sweet, rustic German hotel. It is a modern budget hotels. If you want something more "german” or quaint there are probably better options in Weissenhorn.||Not much more to say. If you find yourself in Weissenhorn this is a great...

A fan provided was tried but intolerable with the draft and noise. So the second night was spent knowing the time exactly from nearby church bells through the open french balcony door.|Nice breakfast restaurant and very kind receptionist with a creative manager on the phone tried to make up for the RiKu hotels belated negotiations with the AC provider to change...
Read moreWe had a lovely stay!
We had everything in the room that we needed. And we needed a lot, since we have two small children sleepng in our room of 6 and 24 months.
What was very usefull to us, is that there was a restaurant downstairs. We had a lovely evening thanks to the good weather, a big and nice terrace that is situated on the cosy town square.
Lost but not least, the SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. Just one simple exemple: I forgot my shirt in the room. They kept it aside and they send it to my home in Belgium, accompanied with a funny note. These people now something about...
