Nirvana Inn — Hotel in Accra

This was my 2nd time at NIrvana. I had a great meal previously, and was looking forward to a repeat performance. The mango lassi was on point! I especially liked how it was served in a clay vessel. They also make a really good and refreshing glass of pineapple juice. Freshly-squeezed, and with no added sugar, it's really quite excellent.

I placed an order for chicken and mutton biryani. Both arrived fairly quickly, but I was dismayed to see that the food was only half hot. I really wish it had been served at a higher temperature so I could enjoy the chef's spices as they were meant to be. I packed most of the meal, and when I re-heated the rice later, it was pretty yum!

Though the rooms are a bit cramped per my choice, they are decent for a business traveler staying for a couple of days. Rooms have AC and Fan. Instant geaser fitted in the bathrooms. Assorted DSTV channels available on TV. Multiple WiFi networks with good signal strength. The dining area overlooking the pool and the pool area is a beautiful place to sit down at the end of the day and have tea, coffee or a drink whichever suits your preference. Yesterday I took my wife to lunch at the Nirvana Inn near East Legon. We had heard about the Indian buffet on Saturday and Sunday, and decided to try it. Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly staff who escorted us to the dining room. We were delighted with the variety of the food offered. The buffet included soup, salads, breads, several entrees, and a dessert selection. We decided to sample a bit of everything, and we were both very pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty, well presented, and left us planning to return to order from their regular dinner menu the next time. I highly recommend the Nirvana Inn.
