Chez Moi Hotel (Official) — Hotel in Greater Accra Region

I stayed at this hotel the first trip I made in 2006 and liked it very much I retuned in Jan 2007.||||One night I returned by taxi from a trip to Osu at 22:25. I went to my room and put down my shopping and mobile phone and wallet on the table. I took some money to go to the local suya spot just up the road from the hotel. I was gone from my room 45 minutes. The only person on duty that evening was the son of the owner. when I returned £200 was removed from my wallet and my Samsong K750 taken from the table. ||||I went to the police and reported the son. My friend and I booked for 2 nights. We got to the hotel and it looked very old and deserted. It looked like a family house and part used as guest rooms.Bad rooms and no power. They got a generator on finally and water heater is not working. when we were stepping out, we were told not to keep long as if we were kids.We come back and the gate is locked. We had to call before it was opened. We get to our rooms and we are told that they will switch off the power in 2 hours which they did. Had to sleep in total darkness with no AC. Amazing hotel. I looked at a few hotels before choosing this one. Perfect in every way. Good location, clean, fine bedding and very friendly staff. The internet connection is perfect and I did not have to pay for expensive calls overseas since i was using Skype.
