Ihave stayed in pver 15 hotels in Ghana. I am confortable with a 3 star hotel. However THE Palace Lodge is not a 3 star hotel, they must have bribed officials. There is no way the 5/5 posts are real. This hotel is falling apart, under managed and more than likely going broke.
Tiles are broken. Broken tiles mean loose tiles. Internet is weak, I had to go into the hallway to get internet service. To get the internet password you have to hand your devices to the host for him to enter. He had no idea I can get the password by touching show password on my device. You are locked from changing television stations on the tv. You have to go to the front desk and they will change the station for you. I believe everyone has to watch the same station. The management will set your air conditioning temperature for you. All you can do is turn it off, you have to go downstairs to get them to come up and adjust the temperature. It took over 2 hours to get water to the washroom. I was told first that it was Accra that shut off water but in 15 minutes I will have water. 15 was their standard answer whenever I asked. There is much more that rates this hotel a one. There is no way anyone would rate this hotel a 5. There is a reason why they don't give refunds. Guests would leave 10 minutes after checking in. This is a horrible hotel for 400 cedis.

A guest I brought here (16th April 2025) paid for a room, but upon inspection (within roughly 20 minutes), deemed the conditions entirely unacceptable for occupancy. The decision was made immediately to forfeit the stay and find suitable lodging elsewhere. When we requested a refund – or at minimum, a partial refund – reflecting the immediate departure and unused room, the request was flatly denied by the personnel on duty. The refusal to offer any form of compensation when a room is found unacceptable almost immediately after payment raises serious questions about their customer service and operational standards....

From the professional staff, to the delicious meals, comfortable beds, cleanliness, and gracious attitudes, I would give this place 10 stars if possible. The owners make it a point to get to know you to ensure that you are comfortable and your needs are met. It's centrally located to restaurants and shopping, China Mall is fairly close, and also the Palms Square Mall. I would recommend HG Palace Lodge for anyone who wants a great place to stay with a warm and welcoming environment; they have a beautiful pool...
