For a South African, who is used to a proper hospitality industry, I don't think this place is wealth it. I am just disappointed at myself for booking it but it was recommended by someone.
If you are on a low budget and you have low expectations, then you can come sleep here for a night a wake up and go.
Besides the bed being very hard and painful, compared to South African hotel beds, the room service was terrible for me. There was no hot water and I didn't know how to switch it on if there was a switch. There was no towel in the bathroom on my first night.
The breakfast is something I have never seen in a hotel before. I don't eat such breakfast even in my home.
I don't think they should call the place a hotel and I am disappointed by the Ghana Tourism industry for approving this place as a hotel because the way it operates, it's like some cheap how where they did you a favor to accommodate you for a night.
The stuff members, have no sense of hospitality, half the time, there is no one in the reception area and there is no sense of urgency to everyone working here. The security at the gate is dirty and wear flops and they don't even know that they are at work.
To make this place available for international guests is an embarrassment to the tourism industry in Ghana.
I would love to come back to Ghana but I will have to ensure that I carefully choose where I will stay because we have different ideas about...
Read moreI stayed in a deluxe king room, and while the price seemed reasonable, the overall experience was awful. • To begin with, the receptionist appeared uninterested and seemed as if she didn’t want to be there. Her lack of warmth made a poor first impression. • Upon entering the room, I was immediately hit by an overpowering smell. There were camphor balls scattered throughout both the bedroom and bathroom, and the scent was unbearable. I couldn’t breathe properly and spent the whole night sneezing and with a runny nose because of it. • The shower was a huge disappointment. The water flow was barely a trickle, making it nearly impossible to enjoy a proper shower. • There was no iron in the room, and if you needed to iron anything, you had to hand it over to the staff. This was such an inconvenient and unnecessary hassle. • The worst part of all: mosquitoes. I was bitten all through the night, something I didn’t experience in any other place I stayed during my trip in Ghana. I woke up covered in bites and was extremely worried about contracting malaria, but thankfully, I didn’t.
I couldn’t bear staying another night, and I’m relieved it was just a one-night stay. This place desperately needs improvement, and I definitely won’t...
Read moreWe chose Eden Vale as the site for our annual conference. We are a US-based non-profit (Omprakash) and we convene conferences for our local NGO partners all over the world. This year's conference was in Accra, and after several months of struggling to find the right venue we were very lucky to find Eden Vale. We had 40 attendees flying in from across Africa and beyond, and Eden Vale coordinated with us every step of the way. They also arranged for two nearby guest houses to accommodate the guests beyond Eden Vale's capacity. All of our conference activities and most of our meals took place at Eden Vale itself (see pics).||||It was a very successful conference for us and our partners, and Eden Vale was a huge part of this success. The property is beautiful and the staff was incredibly kind and hospitable — Sylvia, Sylvester, Ama, Amos, Solomon, Fred were all amazing hosts and we are so grateful.||||We highly recommend Eden Vale for events, and we also would recommend it for a standard hotel stay of course. It's peaceful, clean, safe and great vibes anyway you slice it.||||Also, Eden Vale is only a 10 minute walk from Trassaco Estate Rd and some great restaurants / hangout spots there — notably Cahaya Lounge...
