Very poor customer service. Lack of communication between staff. A culture of irresponsibility.

I am currently writing this review in the restaurant (December 2018). I came here with friends having heard and seen great reviews from friends in London, UK. I am very disappointed.

There were so many things I have to write about this tragedy of basic customer service.

We arrived at 3pm. After taking our order, only one persons food came (an hour or so later). Then I had to get up to chase the remaining orders because we saw other customers who came AFTER us receive their food.

At 4pm we were told there was no jollof rice so we changed orders to fried rice, within 30 minutes there were people with jollof dishes :/

I was told there was no apple juice so I ordered malt. Only for the person to add the non-existent apple juice in the final bill (we didn't have to pay for this)

We ordered soft drinks with one server but because they took too long (another 20 or so minutes) we asked someone else. Later the server who we ORIGINALLY ordered drinks from came with our orders. Again other people's drinks were served who came after us.

The server was clearly struggling and from how restaurants are usually done in London, if there is a LARGE group of people the servers help each other to bring that tables order AT THE SAME TIME. Coco Vanilla seem to operate on a one waiter per group/table policy which may work for SMALL (less than 5 people) groups

Overall the service was very poor, little to no apology for long waiting times...only "the kitchen is very busy"...what? As I wrote above we arrived at 3pm, ordered by 4pm, and one order came when we asked for the bill...at 6pm

We asked to speak to the manager and the servers kept dodging and didn't bring them to us. Neither did they point them out for us to approach them.

The gesture of goodwill from Coco Vanilla is to pay the bill in FULL. Garbage. I believe the overall rating is misleading and I will not come back here or recommend...

Coco Vanilla is a very lovely open air lounge/restaurant. I'm a fan of the aesthetics of the venue and staff, the place gives off a very chic vibes, we have money to spend clientele, seen to be seen, scene.

The place offers an environment where you can have dinner, a place to have drinks, watch the game, smoke hookah, or enjoy balloons while a dj spins good music in the background.

We came here to have dinner. I found the staff to very accommodating and attentive. I enjoyed the music and the vibes, makes a nice date night.

What we ordered : Spring Rolls were good, but not plenty (4) The frozen drinks are really tasty The grilled pork chop meal was really good, Mushroom Steak- is a not recommended

Few things I didn't like: If one meal will take longer to prepare, your food will not come out at the same time as your dining partners. Food will come out one by one. Be prepare to not eat at the same time lol.

From the Special Menu , I ordered the Steak Mushroom with Mash Potatoes. There was nothing specials about this meal except for the mash potatoes. The steak was not nice. It was difficult to cut, difficult to chew, it was very very chewy. I don't know what cut of the cow they serve me that night. The mushroom sauce on top of the steak was ok. I wouldn't recommended ordering this dish

I would personally love to see this place use coasters for their frozen drinks, as the drinks are a quite overloaded to the top and the excess drink will be falling down the glass, and using multiple napkin that becoming soaking wet on the table become unattractive...

Please if you are in ACCRA GHANA DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, its HORRIBLE,DISGUSTING,CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST IN THE WORLD, i don't usually leave reviews but I just want to save other people from wasting their time here,so the first night I went there everything we tried to order on their menu was not available, we tried ordering frozen cocktails, and they claimed their blender is broken so they can't make it, the next time went there they only had one or two drinks on their frozen cocktails, guys that drink was horrible, I cant even believe they called that a cocktail, first of all the recipe they claimed was in the drinks was not in the drink , its basically like ice and koolade Mixed together, we asked about the drinks and they gave us attitude ,we told them we don't want it anymore and they were still insisting us to drink it,they took our drinks and put it in their blender which i thought was unhygienic, they did not even offer us another drink because they mess the first one up, i ordered another drink and it was still the same,HORRIBLE and the had the nerves to charge us for all the drinks, I just kept quiet and paid, this place is horrible, nothing they have on their menu is available, I ordered a red velvet sundae and it was the woryou can basically still teste thing have ever tested the fresh eggs in the cake yakky, the customer service is so bad, I wasted my time at this place, horrible, disgusting place.same your money there are better places like exhale lunge go there instead, don t...

I can't express how much I adore this lounge. Over my visits to Coco Vanilla over the past two years, one particular waitress has truly stood out to me. It fills me with sadness to learn that today, Thursday, 23 January 2025, marks her last working day at Coco Vanilla. Grace has been my inspiration to return to Coco Vanilla every time I'm in Ghana. Her infectious smile and warm demeanor make visiting a joy, and I've always asked to be seated in her section when she’s on duty. I can only imagine how demanding it can be to work in hospitality, but Grace somehow manages to bring joy into every moment of her shift. I know her colleagues and the manager will deeply feel her absence. There truly is no one like Grace at Coco Vanilla, and anyone fortunate enough to be served by her would undoubtedly agree. Thank you, Grace, for consistently creating such a positive atmosphere during my visits. I wholeheartedly wish you all the best in your new journey. Any employer would be incredibly fortunate to have someone as special as you on their team.

Great ambiance and amazing food. They have some of the best tasting juicy grilled chicken wings, it was fingerlicking good. I wasn't too pleased with the design of the menu; some the wording which was typed in black were printed on a dark background. It was so hard to see, I had to use a flash light to check it out. I wasn't too fond of the amount of hookah smoking was going on outside, my best bet is to sit inside to avoid the smoke. The place was pretty packed for a Tuesday night, I wonder how busy it is on the weekends. Overall, I had a great time. I'd definitely recommend this place.

This place is a little hidden gem in Ghana. I was told that it wasn't that great but I'm glad I went to explore for myself. It's a beautiful serene venue by evening where the pool is still and glistening, and the lay out is safe, and allows you to fully indulge in what is going on. We were seated at a booth with 2 others who were friendly and who we were able to collectively enjoy the night with. The cocktails are huge and great tasting. Coco Vanilla has now been added to my list and I'll definitely be attending again!
