Ok, I never write reviews but this place is the exception!|I first visited in 2020 and planned to stay a week and ended up staying 3 months!! I first came across Kangaroo Pouch at Busua beach around the time of the music festival in March as they had all the main events right in front and encompassing the hotel. It was spectacular. |I’ve returned again and just want to make a special mention of the staff and location. We are talking beachfront with a super fun and funky restaurant serving all kinds of food and a fully stocked bar (not to mention room service!) all which can be hard to find in Ghana!|The staff are friendly, caring, knowledgeable and go over and well beyond what is expected red of them. They are by far the friendliest in Busua.|The facilities are incredible, the rooms are always pristine and so clean and you can tell a lot of effort has gone into choosing the small things like good quality bedding and a great comfy mattress. I have a spinal injury so finding the best mattress in Ghana was unexpected but a welcome relief. My back felt so much better after a few days. The rooms are geared entirely to westerners but still have that undeniable Ghanaian vibe which is cool. |I loved this place so much I returned this year to stay for 2 weeks and again extended and stayed a month!!|I was lucky enough to meet the owner when the music festival was on and you can see why the staff are so happy and well trained. The owner is a delightful woman who has plenty of time for a chat or twenty.|I was also lucky enough to get a massage from the international masseuse while I was there to top off the experience which was the only place I found a masseuse in Ghana! |The overall vibe of the place is chill and super friendly. I can’t wait to go back to my home...
Read moreOkay to stay for a night or two. Right on the beach. No warm water but it's so hot you won't really want the water to be warm. Didn't like that there was only one socket with two plugs in the whole room. Spoke to the manager and she said if needed I could get an extension but I think that should be built in. You can't watch tv and have the fridge plugged in at the same time. It's central to everything that you could do around the area and close to the public transport stand. The taxis on the corner are for private hire so keep walking a little further up the road to get the ones that everybody takes. If using maps it's easy to miss the location as it's kind of in an alley. I didn't see parking while there as a result. Not sure if they have arrangement with some place close. Would I revisit. Sure but not for more than a night or two. Hospitality of the staff was very good. No wifi either. Pay no attention to what booking or Expedia...
Read moreSpend 2 nights here.||First night I stayed in a room with a fan. Unfortunately I didn't sleep at all as the mattress was horrible and I was also too hot to be able to sleep.||Decided to change to a room with AC. AC wasn't working properly, took the whole day to cool down the room and the whole floor got wet. ||The matrass in this room was also horrible. They should renew the matrasses ASAP! ||I moved hotels after these 2 nights with barely sleep. ||||||Showers were awful in both rooms. Second one even stopped working so had to do a bucket bath.||||The breakfast was just some milo and a small piece of bread and egg. Again, very dissapointing.||||I really like the interior, the location etc but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it based on the bed. ||Theres better places you can find in Busua for...
